For a long time, Mare just stared at Michelle, clearly deep in thought before opening her mouth:
"You took in some poison again, didn't you?"
Hearing that, Michelle actually remembered something she started doing completely automatically for a few days already.
She had returned to the habit of taking a dose of poison every day until she could recreate it.
But the poison she started with was still showing no reaction, so she just assumed the results would appear after a while of taking it.
Thus, it became a daily routine thing to take it without even thinking about it.
Michelle got so used to it that she became a bit careless about it and didn't consider it when the little snake reacted so violently to her.
When Mare saw Michelle nod, she basically understood what was going on.
"Even if you can't feel the effects of the poison you took, snakes are sensitive to it. That little one must have sensed it and got deadly scared."
