The three bomb lattices shared one pulse through the trigger case beside the armored hauler. Breaking a single cable would collapse its juvenile core, causing that cage to detonate before Vell reached the others.
Yenna counted four steady pulses followed by a shorter correction through every silver anchor. The correction kept each charge sac from bursting naturally, giving them one brief interval when the cages stopped pulling against each other.
"Half a breath after the fourth pulse," she said, watching the trigger case, "then every anchor tightens again."
"You hold the anchors apart during that gap," Vell replied, tracing three dismantle routes through the grate, "I separate the charge feeds without letting any core fall."
Six guards still crossed the loading platform in paired patrols, while an operator remained near the remote trigger. The two false medics would return with their sealed barrel before Blackforge finished any careful procedure.
