When Kent and Inaya appeared in the harem tower, they didn't jump into each other's arms right away.
While it was the most logical decision they could have made, given the state of their relationship the last time they saw each other, they both knew there were some things that had to be said first.
In both a logical and emotional sense, it appeared Jest had abandoned Inaya.
From her perspective, Jest left her for her mortal enemy. Jest was aware of the dynamics between her and that woman, yet he betrayed her with such a vixen.
That is unforgivable.
So while the love he had for her still burned like the morning sun, that soothing warmth wasn't there for Inaya like she would have loved.
In her mind, Jest abandoned her, so that had to be cleared out of the way first.
However, before any of that, Kent took her around the Love Garden, introducing her to the beautiful surroundings.
