What Kent was staring at came about due to Kharvok's Ice Elemental affinity. He had already achieved Extreme Ice affinity. However, the shock came in the form of what he sensed hidden inside the [Heart of Endless Winter] trait.
It appeared Kharvok isn't far from achieving the next stage of elemental affinity: Ultimate Ice.
"Hey Kharvok, say, has something happened to your ice affinity?"
"I don't know, but let me check." Kent watched as Kharvok formed a ball of ice and started examining it. After a few minutes, he put it away.
"I can sense it has become more potent. Also, I can feel I am much closer to attaining Ultimate Ice."
"I see. Thanks, Kharvok."
