Chapter 379 - 378 - The Apocalypse Blade Unleashed

Rygar felt more powerful than ever.

Instead of simply advancing toward the enemy, he had the clear sensation that he was crossing the space between them.

It was difficult to explain. It was as if the world around him, which until then had always seemed like an obstacle, something that had to be overcome by force, now seemed to act like an engine driving him forward.

As if space itself had stopped resisting his movement and, instead, had begun pushing him ahead.

He charged straight into the attack because he could feel that Eris was already recovering using a Healing Magic Circle. That, combined with the Regeneration effects of her Armor, ensured that she was fine.

His two opponents, however, were not intimidated in the slightest.

The Technique God's body tensed instantly. His silver spear exuded a whitish aura, and that same glow ran across the rest of his body in the same instant.

The ground around him cracked under the pressure of his Battle Aura. His gaze became even colder and more urgent as he spoke:

"Enough playing around, Badigadi! The Beast God got something from the Final Boss!"

In the next instant, he advanced like a white bolt of lightning.

Badigadi, for his part, let out a thunderous laugh.

"BWAHAHAHA! This is even better!"

Leaping across the mountain peaks with absurd speed, the Fighter God also advanced like a titan.

The Golden Aura covered the entire Armor, leaking out in violent waves, and each of his impulses made the summits tremble.

Rygar activated his Demon Eyes.

But as soon as he realized that Badigadi could not be seen while his Demon Eyes were active, he immediately deactivated them.

That was an irritating problem. Of course, he could still fight with his other senses, but it was still inconvenient not being able to use his Demon Eyes against the Fighter God.

Even so, it would not be a great obstacle, since at that moment, honestly, Rygar already felt invincible.

The three of them advanced toward one another.

The collision was a single instant away.

Then, suddenly, Rygar transformed into a luminous black streak.

In the next instant, he vanished from everyone's sight.

A thunderous collision rang out far beyond Vita and Badigadi's positions, in the direction the black flash had flown. The two looked back in confusion, seeing that Rygar had gone far past them without even trying to collide.

Meanwhile, amid the rubble of a huge rocky mound, Rygar was just as confused.

He had simply used his mana to accelerate his movement...

And in the next instant, he had collided with a mountain.

Activating his Demon Eyes, time slowed down.

Rygar immediately understood what was happening.

He still did not understand the power of his new armor.

Or rather, the power contained in the black armor was so great that it surpassed even his most absurd expectations.

His limits had increased far more than he had imagined, and his own body was still not used to this new level. Distance calculation, impulse, acceleration, everything had changed all at once.

"Wooooaaaaah~!"

An admiring female voice rang out.

His translucent blue sword vibrated with excitement, releasing even more intense incandescent purple flames. Doomsday seemed to be enjoying this greatly.

And then, a gigantic roar sounded once again.

The mountain range of the final floor split in two, as if it were being torn down the middle.

Everyone there trembled, but not physically. It was space that was vibrating. The entire Labyrinth was vibrating while a deep and sinister sound echoed throughout the Dragon World.

Rygar immediately remembered the warning from the Future Diary.

It was impossible to leave the Dragon God's Hole before completing it.

But once it was complete, departure was mandatory.

And then he saw it.

The sky below, which had once been an endless blue, had been pierced by an immense spatial crack. In truth, calling it a crack did not do it justice. It was a gigantic rift. It stretched for kilometers, as if the very fabric of the world were opening.

Right, better grab Eris and get out of here first!

Instantly, Rygar teleported.

In the next instant, the mountain where he had been was mercilessly pierced.

A violent shock spread across the entire mountain range as the place seemed to be struck by a meteor.

At the focal point of the destruction, Vita hovered threateningly, his white hair fluttering beneath the fierce wind.

He immediately realized that Rygar had disappeared and, without wasting a single instant, turned his gaze directly toward Eris.

His wings spread, and he shot forward like a projectile.

Meanwhile, at the spot where Eris was, Rygar appeared through teleportation, with Doomsday's flames already contained.

"Eri—"

Before he could react or say anything else, Eris had already leapt into his arms.

"Let's go!"

Rygar smiled as he felt a presence approaching like a cannon.

Without waiting any longer, his cloak whipped violently, and, holding Eris in his arms, he flew toward the crack in the "sky" below.

In the next instant, a thunderous laugh rang out, accompanied by a triple punch.

"BWAHAHA!"

BOOOOOMMMM!

Badigadi, wearing the Armor, landed exactly where they had been half a second earlier. The impact crushed the mountain peak, shattering rocks and creating a shockwave that spread across the inverted mountains.

But by that point, Rygar and Eris were already shooting toward the open sky.

A dark-blue aura covered Rygar's body and, by extension, Eris's body as well.

He finished healing her practically in the same instant that he took her into his arms. The black armor was transforming in real time as he flew.

Lines of light appeared and disappeared, the distribution of the aura shifted, and the way Skollvindr settled over his body seemed to evolve with every passing second.

Rygar could barely keep up with all the changes. In truth, he did not perfectly understand what he was capable of.

Eris, pressed tightly against him, pointed toward a direction in the sky.

"That way!"

Without hesitation, Rygar flew in that direction, inwardly praising once again the convenience of the Eye of Foresight.

Even so, he activated his own Demon Eyes, seeing all the changes happening within the immense structure of the Labyrinth.

Cracks were spreading everywhere, and some parts of space were sinking inward.

Others were tearing apart, and the mountain ranges were losing their support. The very sense of direction seemed to be coming undone.

Meanwhile, Laplace was holding Badigadi by one arm and pursuing them relentlessly through the air.

As both pairs advanced, the world collapsed.

The Inverted World seemed to lose all sense of up and down. The mountain ranges began to crumble in great blocks, magma emerged everywhere, gushing out of newly opened fissures, and spatial cracks cut through everything as if nothing stood in their path.

The Labyrinth was undergoing changes never before seen in the World of the Six Faces.

And then, the enormous fissure in the sky finally opened for real.

The sound was like the astronomical roar of a Black Hole.

It swallowed everything.

At the same time, an incomprehensible suction emerged from that crack. It was an inevitable and crushing force, pulling everything without distinction.

Rygar and Eris. Badigadi and Vita. Entire mountains and rivers of magma, even the atmosphere itself.

It seemed as though every atom, every speck of dust, every fragment of that false world was being dragged away.

Nothing was spared.

As the false Dragon World met its end once again.

---

On the other side, in the vast Red Dragon Mountains, the enormous "Hole" that represented the entrance to the Labyrinth began to emit a strange hum.

It was a sound too deep to be mistaken for any animal.

It reverberated through the mountains and rocky slopes, making the air vibrate in an uncomfortable way.

While, on the Begaritt Continent, an event of incomprehensible proportions was unfolding and drawing the world's attention, an equally terrible change was taking place on the Central Continent, near the highest mountain in the world.

The Red Dragons throughout the entire Red Dragon Mountain Range sensed the danger.

Even those who were far away immediately took flight, putting even more distance between themselves and that place without the slightest hesitation.

Several of them went beyond the vast mountain ranges, fleeing as if a predator were right on their heels.

The world trembled more and more, with the mountains shaking and driving away any monster intelligent enough to understand that remaining there would be madness.

Then, heat began to rise from the bottom of the enormous crater that stretched for kilometers.

Infernal heat, seemingly without end.

Along with it, blue and purple light emerged from the endless darkness that usually permeated the entrance of the Dragon God's Hole.

At first, it was only an occasional glow. Then it grew, and grew even more, dyeing the inner walls of the crater with bluish and violet reflections.

That temperature and that light increased even further as time passed.

Birds flew away in a panic, and monsters ran in every direction. From time to time, blue and purple flames surged from below, escaping in violent bursts, as if trying to break free.

The constant hum still filled the mountain range, and then, accompanied by a loud bell chime, blazing purple fire suddenly erupted endlessly into the sky.

The roar was enormous.

The explosion swept over everything around the mountain. The purple and blue glare spread across the mountain ranges, and the wave of heat that came with it seemed as if it wanted to burn everything nearby.

In the middle of that flaming explosion, collisions rang out tirelessly, the Blade of the Apocalypse releasing its ferocity and hunger for destruction without restraint.

Then, breaking through that wall of flames, a red line appeared, splitting the fire in half.

And from within it, a woman with long red hair came running out, cursing.

"Damned sword! I knew it! It's trying to kill me!"

It was Eris.

The ends of her hair were singed, but she did not stop for even an instant.

She could not stop, because behind her, Rygar was dealing with problems a little bigger than hers.

The mountain ranges were still collapsing.

And now, added to that, three warriors were colliding incessantly while moving farther and farther south, destroying everything in their path.

Meanwhile, making full use of her Armor's speed enchantment, Eris ran through the mountains.

Her feet barely touched the rocks before she was already launching herself toward the next formation, crossing peaks and slopes at a speed that would easily make people mistake her for a blur.

From time to time, she saw enormous red dragons fleeing along with her, passing through the sky or running between the mountains, all trying to get away from the apocalyptic battle that was drawing closer and closer.

Meanwhile, at the center of the flames, the Fighter God, the Technique God, and the Beast God clashed incessantly.

Each collision made the heavens and the earth tremble.

Each impact scattered fire and lightning, destroyed mountains, and tore entire chunks from the range, making it seem as though this place was not enough to contain that fight.

The battle continued moving farther and farther south, like a calamity crossing the Red Dragon Mountains without finding anything capable of stopping it.

But Eris was running in a different direction.

She was putting more and more distance between herself and the battle.

Her vision was a little blurry, but even so, she kept moving forward, her mind growing heavier and heavier. Still running, she muttered:

"Huh, I really need to sleep!"

But she did not slow down in the slightest.

The red flash crossed the dangerous mountains without being stopped. Normally, that would be dangerous even for someone strong.

The final level of the Red Dragon Mountains was already a lethal place in and of itself.

But today, while the mountains trembled, the hundreds of fearsome Red Dragons were nothing more than part of the fleeing masses.

And meanwhile, on the Desert Continent, there were warriors living through their own personal nightmares.
