Lance didn't refuse, as the interests of both sides aligned, "No problem, this might not be a bad thing for you."
Mayor Williams looked at him, as Lance calmly said, "The Federation people are more dissatisfied with them than with the immigrant groups. In many places, there are demonstrations and protests against letting refugees in."
"You can use this to your advantage, using your position as mayor, to call for getting these refugees out of our homes so they don't tarnish the environment here."

Mayor Williams hadn't considered this angle before. Being older, it sometimes took a bit longer for his mind to engage with things he hadn't experienced.
