"I'm looking forward to it!" Lance affirmed, then changed the subject, "Have you been watching the news lately?"
Roger carefully recalled the recent news and said cautiously, "I have been watching."
Lance raised his hand to soothe Roger's emotion, "You're a bit tense." Then he opened a pack of cigarettes, gesturing Roger to take one, while he took one himself.
After both lit their cigarettes, Lance continued, "The Federation has some thoughts about the Yalan Region. It has abundant resources, but the locals don't know how to utilize them efficiently."
"Moreover, its geographical environment is too important for the Federation!"
Roger nodded while smoking.
He had also attended Lance's birthday party. As the chairman of the chamber of commerce, he and his family were fortunate not to be scared by the bombardment.
But that doesn't mean they couldn't feel it; the Federation under bombardment wasn't as strong as imagined.
