As for the Insect Race, because they self-evolve, they eventually become inedible toxic substances. They cannot be included on the food list. Of course, if there's a way to remove their toxins, Spiritual Ability Users above Four Awakenings might manage to eat some.
But the number of Horror Demons is substantial, so there's no need to worry too much in a short time. Many civilians' fears stem from some commonplace beasts, or perhaps some Extraordinary Creatures. It has indeed expanded the food list.
