Meditation chamber.
Seeing this scene, Lu Jun suddenly understood. "Right, the Mermaid Holy Spirit has a noble bloodline, a sub-Emperor lineage. That alone is enough for her to rely on it all the way to Supreme Monarch level."
He slapped his forehead. He had been worrying about how to advance the two of them to Monarch, yet he had not expected the two little ones to be so promising, not needing him to search for resources at all.
That made sense. After the World College Tournament, Lu Jun himself had advanced by leaps and bounds because his foundation had accumulated to a certain degree before erupting forth.
The same applied to the Night Thunder Dream Beast and the Mermaid Holy Spirit. Following Lu Jun, they had obtained countless opportunities. A powerful release after long accumulation was only natural.
In addition, ever since awakening the Life Element, Lu Jun discovered that under the enhancement of his Calamity talent, the healing light possessed a subtle effect of raising a living being's potential.
For more than half a year, through their connection with him, the two contracted beasts had continuously enjoyed the nourishment of the fountain of life. Their life levels were approaching perfection, automatically evolving toward a higher tier.
The Mermaid Holy Spirit's advancement driven by bloodline might also be due to this factor.
"However, if the Water Holy Spirit merely absorbs the world's elemental energy this slowly to accumulate power for advancement, becoming a Monarch may still take quite some time. According to a demon's growth cycle, three to five years?"
Lu Jun stroked his chin. In the future, he would have to look for heavenly treasures capable of shortening the Water Holy Spirit's transformation time.
"As for the Night Thunder Dream Beast, there's no need to worry. The immense energy remaining in the Night Fiend is enough to push its transformation. As for the Graveyard of Fallen Beasts…"
He grew thoughtful. His desire to enter the Summoning Plane to explore intensified. There might be major opportunities for the Summoning Element within it. Given its vast territory, resources for every Element might even surpass those in the Magic World.
Lu Jun looked inward at his spiritual world. Four great Star Oceans floated at the center, vast and surging. At the edges, two dragon-like Star Rivers coiled and intertwined, one moon-white and one dark silver, clearly his High Tier Level Four Summoning Element and Space Element.
Now, as his two contracted beasts underwent subtle transformations, the Summoning Element stirred restlessly. The chasm toward Super Tier no longer seemed distant, while the Space-Time Element remained silent.
"If multiple contracted beasts advance to Monarch, could it push the Summoning Element into Super Tier?"
Lu Jun pondered. No matter what, among his Elements, the Summoning Element held the greatest hope of becoming his fifth Super Tier Element.
He first focused on a round stone within the moon-white Star River interwoven with cyan and ochre hues, about 3.65 inches in size, resonating with the number of the heavens. Nine apertures dotted its surface, inhaling and exhaling vital energy. On its flawless crystalline body were two cracks.
Ordinarily, cracks would ruin the stone's appearance, yet these two sword-like marks seemed naturally complete. From within the fissures seeped faint life aura.
The Qiankun Stone, treasure he had brought back from the Inca Empire. He used it as the vessel for the second contracted spirit engraving technique: the Beast That Does Not Exist in This World, capable of forging a supreme foundation.
Streams of azure Psychic Star Ocean power continuously poured down, infusing into the Qiankun Stone. Nearby, milky-white Life Stardust and gray-black Death Stardust also generated a certain aura and flowed into it.
This accelerated its transformation considerably.
"I originally thought the second contracted summoned beast might be nurtured within a few years. Now it seems I may have to wait a lifetime."
Seeing this, Lu Jun shook his head. It made sense. A beast born of imaginary nonexistence, embodying the grand concept of gathering the advantages of all beings, it could not be described by mere Monarch bloodline.
"Could it end up bursting forth as an Emperor?"
A sudden thought flashed through Lu Jun's mind. Soon after, he ignored it and shifted his attention to the dense tadpole-like script of the High Tier Beast Tide Gate, Contract of the Ancient Gate, which to some extent counted as his third contract.
That's right! He wanted to contract another summoned beast, both to strengthen his power and to promote the advancement of the Summoning Element.
"The Gate Contract is quite suitable. The contracted summoned beast can freely traverse between the two worlds and also help me explore the Summoning Plane."
Lu Jun fell into contemplation, desire rising in his heart.
However, his standards for a third contract were high, at least Monarch-level cultivation, obedient in command. Furthermore, it should either possess outstanding racial attributes or extremely special abilities.
In the Magic World, with Lu Jun's strength, he could already capture a Monarch-level demon and forcibly contract it.
Even back in Yantai, after crippling the Heavenly Crown Purple Linden Tree, he could have contracted it. With sufficient resources, it could recover to Supreme Monarch-level combat power, how imposing that would be.
Yet Lu Jun's vision was lofty. Demons in the real world were unruly and fond of devouring humans. Though powerful, their potential was limited and inclined toward extreme slaughter.
In terms of raw attack power, what demon could compare to him after mastering the Metal Element?
Thus, he preferred something inclined toward a supportive role, like the Holy Spirit or Dream Beast, capable in battle yet also assisting him, with abilities such as blessings, seals, large-scale control, and so on. Plant-type demons seemed to fit the last trait.
Only, the Heavenly Crown Purple Linden Tree could not freely alter its size and moved too slowly.
"Sigh, I suppose I'm wanting everything at once—too greedy."
After a moment, Lu Jun realized he had fallen into the trap of perfectionism and shook his head.
But just because the Magic World lacked such a creature did not mean the vast Summoning Plane did. After all, the Gate Contract allowed free passage between the two realms, unlike Dimensional Summon or Contracted Summon which were limited to the native plane.
With a thought, Lu Jun transmitted a message to the Night Thunder Dream Beast in the other world, asking it to keep an eye out.
His consciousness returned. He rose and left the meditation chamber, heading alone to a remote area of the Demon Capital, holding two portions of Night Fiend dark substance.
The Night Thunder Dream Beast had already finished refining its share. That left Ding Yumian and Tang Yue.
One was in the Magic Capital, the other in Hangzhou, both quite far from here.
But Lu Jun had another method. Long ago, he had branded spatial imprints deep within the bodies of the two women. Through them, he could open a Void Passage and teleport across vast distances.
This was also his first experiment with the effects of High Tier Level Four Void Passage. Fearing it might cause a great disturbance, he had deliberately gone to the outskirts.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!
Vigorous spiritual power overflowed from Lu Jun's brow. With a single thought, a Star Constellation formed, as hundreds of dark-silver trajectories intertwined around him.
Immediately afterward, a pattern resembling a space-time clock was imprinted in midair above his head. Silver radiance shot into the sky, brilliant and resplendent, illuminating a hundred-meter radius, lighting up the area as the void twisted and disturbed nearby residents.
Fortunately, the place was remote, and no one interfered for the time being.
He immersed himself in his consciousness, observing heaven and earth. Countless silver light particles were irregularly scattered throughout his vision dense, discontinuous, and disorderly.
A realization arose within Lu Jun. These were the nodes of spatial transmission. His spiritual power extended through these points continuously, sweeping past the Demon Capital, through Hunan Province and Zhejiang Province. Unfortunately, it stalled before reaching Hangzhou.
Even with the support of Eighth-Realm spiritual power, it was still slightly insufficient.
Soon, inspiration struck. Without hesitation, Lu Jun drew upon the connection of the Summoning Element's Basic and Intermediate Tier magic, extracting a portion of the Night Thunder Dream Beast's and the Water Holy Spirit's power, specifically the psychic aspect.
Basic Tier Level Five Edict and Intermediate Tier Level Four Summoning Link could accomplish this.
Boom!
Lu Jun's spiritual consciousness surged upward step by step, rising a small margin to the peak of the Eighth Realm. He could now connect several more spatial nodes.
