“Is this going to be another one of those ‘we’ll deal with it later’ situations?”
When Sohwa pressed, sounding more exasperated now, Hwayeong unexpectedly gave her a confident reply.
“No. This time, I have everything planned out. You really don’t need to worry.”
Those words, spoken with such certainty, only made Sohwa more uneasy.
Granted, it was slightly more reassuring than hearing “we’ll figure it out when the time comes”, but even so—no matter how she looked at it, there didn’t seem to be any clean way out of this mess once it exploded.
And most importantly... based on prior experience, anything Hwayeong described as a ‘plan’ was hardly ever constructive.
Her idea of problem-solving usually involved flipping the table entirely or smothering one disaster with an even bigger one.
Sohwa had a vague sense of what might be going on, but not clearly enough to shake the growing unease in her chest.
