The fresh scent of wyvern spread through the camp. Soldiers just stood there, watching Damon and the two young ladies.
They had killed and now were eating a wyvern at the sixth class like it was nothing.
"Can you pass me the sauce" Evangeline said, pointing at a bottle next to Damon. He waved his hand and shadows slid the bottle across the ground toward her.
"They're monsters, actual monsters."
"I've heard the Ascendants are strong but they are stronger than I thought."
"Hmph you newbies haven't seen anything yet they are far more powerful than that."
Damon didn't even look in the direction of the soldiers. This was a way for them to blow off steam and rest up from the mental and physical toll the battlefield takes on them.
The battlefield had a way of bringing out the worst in every person. It had a way of dragging out the beast in man.
Any semblance of order you know gets reduced to the lost primordial rules.
