Damon glanced at Ashcroft, who was standing next to him, then sneered.
"Don't act surprised I'm here. You knew I was trapped in your sea of consciousness this whole time. Why else would you leave your body vulnerable?" Ashcroft said coldly.
Damon glanced at the tall demon. He seemed as intimidating as always, as though he feared nothing. Perhaps even the Goddess of Doom frightened him a little, but even then, Ashcroft was still the Demon Lord of Domination.
Come to think of it, Doom really was terrifying. Although Damon feared her, that fear was negligible compared to how terrified he was of the Unknown God.
After all, that bastard was nightmare fuel. No matter how much Damon thought he had escaped the Unknown God's control, the bastard always seemed to be several steps ahead of him, and Damon hated that. More than that, the Unknown God sometimes had sound arguments when he actually bothered to explain himself, which somehow made him even more infuriating.
