Ranar was surrounded by violence and chaos, however, there was nothing she could do to stop it. She ran alongside Ric while they were surrounded by shadow drones.

The drones were not numerous, but they were organized and acted like an army, while the people of the city were masters of fighting armies. They were more savage and furious than ever, and so they came like a violent horde. The more you cut down, the more arrived.
However, the army they faced this time was an army that did not know fear or death, only obedience.
They could not be demoralized or starved.
