"This place isn't a training ground for children," the Primordial went on. His tone wasn't insulting so much as frustrated. "We Primordials already have enemies everywhere. The Angel Race watches us, the Devil Race hunts us, and the Dragon Race competes with us constantly. The Spirit Race may be more neutral, but they're still rivals."
He looked straight at Max. "Every Primordial who enters this place represents our race."
His eyes flicked briefly to Max's cultivation. "And you walked in at the 1st level of the Law Manifestation Realm."
Max understood his point. The man didn't hate him. He simply disliked the idea of someone entering such a dangerous place while looking so weak, because to him, Max's presence here reflected badly on the Primordial Race.
After a moment, the Primordial shook his head. "Whatever strength you showed in Bloodstone City, I still think this place came too early for you."
His primordial aura began to rise. "You don't belong here yet."
