Because of that, Aurelia couldn't allow herself to recklessly ignite hope inside Eleanor's heart.
She understood better than anyone that beneath Eleanor's calm smile and composed demeanor lay nine years of silent suffering that very few people truly understood.
She was a mother who had lost her only child.
