The room fell silent.
Neither Eleanor nor Aurelia immediately responded.
They simply stared at Ethan, processing his words.
A complicated rush of gratitude toward Arlene filled their hearts.
Without her warning, Ethan might never have arrived in time to save them.
Yet after several moments of silence, Eleanor suddenly spoke.
She had a thoughtful look in her violet eyes as she studied her son.
"You intend to deal with that prince in this realm itself, don't you, my son?"
Ethan's eyes widened slightly before he clapped his hands together with an impressed expression.
"Well, kind of, yeah."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"You will see.
The misery I will put him through for daring to use me and lay his filthy eyes on the two of you..."
The temperature of the room seemed to drop.
A terrifying darkness flashed through Ethan's crimson eyes, carrying a murderous intent so cold and heavy that both women felt their bodies stiffen.
