Chapter 3 - 3

The Titan Skibidi Toilet took one massive step forward.

BOOOOOOM.

The pavement split beneath its weight.

Cracks raced across the street like lightning, and the already damaged buildings around it shook violently. Chunks of concrete fell from rooftops. Windows shattered. Abandoned cars bounced against the road.

Roma actually felt the wind created by the Titan's movement push against him.

And his body was made of diamond.

That alone told him how ridiculous this thing was.

Luffy?

Luffy looked like someone had just handed him the greatest Christmas present imaginable.

His eyes sparkled.

His grin stretched across his face.

"ROMA!"

Roma slowly looked at him.

"It's HUGE!"

"...I can see that."

"This is gonna be the best fight ever!"

Roma's fist twitched.

He wanted to punch him.

Badly.

"Luffy, this is NOT the time to be excited!"

The Titan took another step.

THOOOOOM.

A nearby building partially collapsed.

Roma pointed toward it.

"THAT THING COULD STEP ON US!"

Luffy laughed.

"SHISHISHISHI!"

Then he gave Roma the simplest answer imaginable.

"Then we just don't get stepped on!"

Roma stared.

...

Roma's Mind: Is this guy serious?

He looked at Luffy.

Then at the nearly two-hundred-foot monster.

Then back at Luffy.

Roma's Mind: This is really the future Pirate King?

Roma's Mind: How did this idiot survive Marineford?!

Roma opened his mouth.

"Luffy, you—"

The Titan suddenly stopped moving.

Roma froze.

Luffy's grin disappeared.

The gigantic Skibidi Toilet slowly opened its mouth.

Wider.

And wider.

And wider.

Until its mouth seemed almost unnaturally large.

Roma's eyes narrowed.

"What the—"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

A gigantic sonic blast erupted from the Titan's mouth.

The air itself distorted.

The soundwave tore through the street.

Buildings standing between them and the Titan were ripped apart.

Windows exploded simultaneously.

Cars flipped.

Streetlights bent backward.

"LUFFY!"

Too late.

The shockwave hit them.

BOOOOOOM!

Luffy went flying.

"AAAAAAAHHH!"

His rubber body shot backward like a cannonball.

He smashed through the remains of one building—

CRASH!

Bounced off another—

BOOM!

Then disappeared through a cloud of debris.

Roma crossed his arms in front of his face.

His diamond feet dug into the pavement.

The sonic blast slammed into him.

His entire body vibrated.

Cracks spread beneath his feet.

But Roma didn't move.

Not much, anyway.

His diamond body absorbed most of the physical impact.

His ears were another story.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE—

Roma staggered.

His head felt like someone had rung a church bell directly inside his skull.

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

He grabbed his head.

"THAT WASN'T IN THE SHOW!"

DING!

A screen appeared.

ENEMY ABILITY DISCOVERED

Titan Skibidi Toilet

Ability: Sonic Scream

Previous Threat Level: Moderate

Updated Threat Level:MODERATE-HIGH

Roma stared at the screen.

His face slowly twisted.

"NOW YOU TELL ME?!"

The system offered no apology.

Of course it didn't.

Something crashed nearby.

Roma turned.

A pile of rubble exploded outward.

Luffy came bouncing back into the street.

His eyes were spinning.

"Uggggh..."

He shook his head violently.

Then immediately grinned again.

"ROMA!"

"What?!"

"THAT WAS SO COOL!"

Roma's mouth opened.

Luffy pointed at the Titan.

"DO IT AGAIN, TOILET!"

Roma stared at him in horror.

"WHY WOULD YOU ASK IT TO—"

The Titan's eyes turned completely red.

Roma stopped.

"...Oh."

The Titan roared.

Luffy scratched his cheek.

"I think it's mad."

"YOU THINK?!"

BOOOOOOM!

The Titan charged.

Each step devastated another section of the city.

Roma prepared to move—

Then something caught his eye.

People.

Farther down the street, dozens of civilians were running between ruined buildings.

Men.

Women.

Children.

All terrified.

Some were helping injured people.

Others were desperately trying to escape the approaching Titan.

Roma's eyes widened.

Roma's Mind: Right.

This wasn't just an empty battlefield.

There were still humans here.

People who hadn't been killed or converted yet.

Roma looked between them and the Titan.

Fight the Titan directly?

Or protect the civilians?

The answer came quickly.

"Luffy!"

"Yeah?!"

"Keep the Titan busy!"

Luffy pointed at himself.

"Me?"

"YES, YOU!"

Roma pointed toward the fleeing civilians.

"I'm protecting those people!"

Luffy's face fell.

"EH?!"

He looked at the Titan.

Then at Roma.

"But I wanna fight the big one!"

Roma's eye twitched.

"LUFFY!"

"But—"

"JUST DO IT!"

Luffy puffed out his cheeks.

He looked like a child who had just been told he couldn't have dessert.

"Fiiiiiine..."

Then his pout vanished.

Luffy stretched both arms backward.

They shot across the street and wrapped around a distant lamppost.

"GUM-GUM..."

Roma blinked.

"...ROCKET!!!"

Luffy launched.

FWOOOOOSH!

He became a blur.

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Luffy rocketed directly toward the Titan's face.

BAM!

His skull slammed straight into its nose.

The massive Skibidi Toilet actually stumbled backward.

Barely.

It seemed more offended than injured.

Luffy bounced away.

Then came back.

"GUM-GUM PISTOL!"

BOOM!

The Titan's cheek snapped sideways.

"GUM-GUM GATLING!"

Dozens of punches hammered its face.

"AAAAATATATATATATATATATA!"

BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!

The Titan swung at him.

Luffy ducked.

Jumped.

Stretched.

Bounced off a building.

"GUM-GUM WHIP!"

His extended leg slapped across the Titan's face.

Roma stared for half a second.

"...He really is having fun."

Then he remembered his own job.

Roma turned.

The civilians were still running.

Another building began collapsing near them.

Roma focused.

Diamond Shapeshifting.

His body responded.

His legs expanded downward and outward.

Crystal erupted from them.

His feet became enormous diamond pillars anchored deep into the street.

His arms expanded next.

Longer.

Wider.

Thicker.

Roma spread both arms across the street.

His diamond body continued growing until—

SHIIIIING!

A gigantic crystal wall formed between the civilians and the battle.

One falling section of a building smashed into Roma's diamond shield.

BOOOOOOM!

It shattered against him.

Roma barely felt it.

"GO!"

The civilians stared at him.

Roma pointed away from the Titan.

"RUN THE OTHER WAY!"

Nobody moved.

Roma blinked.

"...Hello?!"

They were staring at him like he'd grown a second head.

Which, honestly, was understandable.

Five minutes ago they'd been running from singing toilet monsters.

Now some glowing diamond man had transformed himself into a wall to protect them.

Roma sighed.

"YES, I'M WEIRD!"

Another Sonic Scream erupted.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

The city shook.

Everyone screamed.

That finally fixed the problem.

The civilians ran.

Fast.

"GOOD!"

Roma waited until the last group disappeared around the corner.

Then he began returning his body to normal.

Roma's Mind: Good.

He turned toward the Titan.

Roma's Mind: Now I can help Luffy.

Something moved beside him.

Roma instantly raised a diamond blade.

"WHO—?!"

He stopped.

A humanoid mechanical figure stood several feet away.

Black suit.

Camera head.

Clean lens.

Military posture.

And a weapon held firmly in both hands.

Roma slowly lowered his blade.

"A Cameraman?"

But not one of the hostile Cameramen the system had previously ordered them to fight.

This one carried the recognizable insignia and behavior of the Alliance.

It looked at Roma.

Then at the Titan.

Then back at Roma.

The Cameraman raised one hand.

Salute.

Roma blinked.

He hadn't expected to meet the Alliance this quickly.

"Uh..."

Roma awkwardly lifted one hand.

"Hi?"

The Cameraman didn't answer verbally.

Of course it didn't.

Instead, it pointed toward the Titan.

Then toward itself.

Then toward Roma.

Roma stared.

The Cameraman repeated the gesture.

Titan.

Itself.

Roma.

Roma's eyes widened.

"Oh."

He pointed between them.

"Team up?"

The Cameraman gave him a thumbs-up.

Roma smiled.

"Alright."

His diamond fists formed.

"Let's do it."

The Cameraman turned and charged.

Then Roma noticed something else.

It wasn't alone.

More figures emerged from the ruined streets.

Three additional Cameramen.

A Speakerman.

Then—

Roma's eyebrows rose.

Two TV Men.

"Well..."

The Alliance reinforcements moved into formation.

The Cameramen opened fire.

The TV Men moved into supporting positions.

The Speakerman blasted music loudly enough for Roma to feel the bass through his diamond body.

Somehow, it actually made the battlefield feel less hopeless.

Roma's Mind: Well.

Roma grinned.

Roma's Mind: This is going better than expected.

Meanwhile...

Luffy was having the time of his life.

"SHISHISHISHI!"

He bounced off the Titan's forehead.

The enormous Skibidi Toilet swiped at him.

Luffy disappeared.

Its hand missed.

Luffy appeared near its ear.

"GUM-GUM PISTOL!"

BAM!

The Titan roared.

Luffy stretched away.

"YOU CAN'T CATCH ME, TOILET!"

"SKIBIDI DOP DOP DOP!!!"

The Titan sounded genuinely furious now.

Luffy laughed harder.

His body still steamed from Gear Second.

He was much faster than he'd been during Arlong Park.

Too fast for the Titan's massive hands to catch consistently.

The Titan swung again.

Missed.

Again.

Missed.

Luffy kicked its eye.

The Titan suddenly stopped attacking.

Luffy landed on its shoulder.

"Huh?"

The enormous toilet opened its bowl.

Roma saw it from below.

"...What is it doing?"

Something moved inside.

Then another.

Then—

Roma's eyes widened.

"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me."

Hundreds of smaller Skibidi Toilets poured from the Titan.

They fell from its enormous body like an army being deployed.

THUD!

THUD!

THUD!

One after another, they struck the streets.

Then began crawling toward Luffy and the Alliance.

All of them singing.

"Skibidi dop dop dop yes yes~!"

"Skibidi dop dop dop yes yes~!"

"Skibidi dop dop dop yes yes~!"

The sound became a horrible chorus.

A screen appeared.

DING!

Roma stared.

"...Two hundred forty-seven?"

Another wave landed.

Roma looked at the system.

Then at the army.

Then back at the system.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

He threw both hands into the air.

"THAT'S WAY MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED!"

DING!

Roma stopped complaining.

"...Oh."

He blinked.

"Well, that's actually pretty good."

The toilets charged.

Roma smiled.

His body began glowing brighter.

The diamond covering him seemed different now.

Cleaner.

Sharper.

More natural.

He could feel Dimo's abilities becoming easier to use.

Less like borrowed power.

More like his own body.

A status notification appeared.

Custom Character Degree: 1.2%

Roma's eyes widened.

Roma's Mind: So that's how it works.

The more he used Dimo...

The more synchronized he became with the Custom Character.

His grin widened.

"Good to know."

Roma crouched.

His arms fused against his sides.

His legs narrowed.

His diamond body sharpened into a pointed shape.

Then his entire form began spinning.

Faster.

Faster.

Until—

WHRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Roma transformed into a massive diamond drill.

He launched himself forward.

BOOOOOOM!

The first Skibidi Toilet exploded.

Then the second.

Third.

Fourth.

Roma tore through them like a bullet through paper.

Ceramic shattered everywhere.

The Alliance joined him.

Energy blasts ripped across the street.

PEW! PEW! PEW!

Toilets exploded.

The Speakerman's music blasted louder.

Some of the smaller Skibidi Toilets actually staggered from the sound.

Roma nearly laughed.

Roma's Mind: Okay, that's hilarious.

His drill smashed through another ten.

DING!

Roma accelerated.

DING!

90 / 100

The Alliance destroyed more.

DING!

Roma launched through three Skibidi Toilets at once.

Roma's eyes flashed toward the screen.

"We did it!"

Another notification appeared immediately.

5...

10...

15...

20...

Roma didn't stop.

There were still enemies everywhere.

And the Titan was still alive.

Completing the quest didn't mean abandoning the people fighting beside them.

Roma transformed his arms back into fists.

"KEEP GOING!"

Above them...

Luffy's movements were slowing.

His breathing had become heavier.

"Haah..."

Steam still rolled from his body.

"Haah..."

Gear Second was powerful.

But this version of Luffy had only discovered it minutes ago.

He didn't understand how to manage it.

Didn't understand how much stamina it consumed.

Didn't understand its limits.

He landed on top of a damaged building.

His knees nearly buckled.

"Shishi..."

He wiped sweat from his forehead.

"This toilet's tougher than I thought..."

The Titan's eyes snapped toward him.

Luffy looked up.

"Oh."

The massive hand rose.

Luffy's eyes widened.

"Oh, crap."

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The Titan slammed its palm down.

The entire building collapsed.

"Luffy!"

Roma stopped fighting.

Dust erupted into the sky.

His stomach dropped.

"LUFFY!"

Nothing.

Roma abandoned the nearby toilets and ran toward the rubble.

Roma's Mind: No.

He accelerated.

Roma's Mind: No way.

He knew Luffy survived things that should've killed ordinary humans.

He knew what Luffy would eventually become.

But that future wasn't guaranteed anymore.

Roma realized that now.

The moment Luffy had been dragged away from Arlong Park, history had changed.

There was no invisible rule saying he had to survive.

Roma's Mind: He can't die here!

Roma reached the rubble.

"Luffy!"

Silence.

Then—

Ba-dum.

Roma stopped.

Ba-dum.

Something beneath the debris shifted.

BA-DUM.

Roma's eyes widened.

It wasn't some mysterious supernatural drum.

It was Luffy's heartbeat—still hammering violently from Gear Second and adrenaline.

He was alive.

The rubble suddenly exploded.

BOOOOOOM!

"Luffy!"

Luffy launched himself out.

He landed badly.

Rolled.

Then stood.

His clothes were torn.

Blood ran down one side of his face.

His breathing was ragged.

But his grin had returned.

"Oi..."

The Titan looked down.

Luffy raised his head.

"...toilet."

He cracked his knuckles.

"Round two."

Roma stared at him.

Something about Luffy's posture had changed.

Not another transformation.

He was thinking.

Actually thinking.

Which might've been more shocking.

Luffy looked at his arm.

Then at the Titan's gigantic hand.

Then back at his own rubber body.

His eyes narrowed.

Roma slowly realized what was happening.

Roma's Mind: Wait.

Luffy bit down on his thumb.

Roma's eyes became enormous.

Roma's Mind: HE'S NOT—

Luffy inhaled.

Then blew.

Air rushed into his bones.

His hand expanded.

Then his forearm.

Then the rest of his arm.

The rubber limb grew larger and larger.

Luffy stared at it with the expression of someone who had just discovered the world's greatest toy.

"WOAH!"

Roma's jaw dropped.

There was no way.

This shouldn't happen until far later.

Much, much later.

Luffy grinned.

"BONE BALLOON!"

His inflated bones grew even larger.

Roma pointed at him.

"YOU JUST INVENTED THAT?!"

Luffy looked down.

"YEAH!"

"HOW?!"

"I THOUGHT BIGGER WOULD HIT HARDER!"

Roma froze.

...

Of course.

Of course that was the explanation.

Luffy jumped.

His enormous arm rose into the sky.

"GEAR..."

Roma stared upward.

"...THIRD!!!"

Roma's Mind: HE LEARNED GEAR THIRD TOO?!

Roma's Mind: IN ONE FIGHT?!

Luffy's massive fist towered over the street.

Not quite as enormous as the Titan itself—

but more than large enough to hurt it.

The Titan opened its mouth.

Luffy pulled his arm backward.

"GUM-GUM..."

The Titan screamed.

Luffy launched the punch.

"GIANT PISTOL!!!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The fist crashed directly into the Titan's head.

The impact looked like a meteor strike.

A shockwave exploded across the district.

Every remaining window shattered.

Cars rolled.

Alliance soldiers were knocked from their feet.

Roma dug diamond claws into the pavement to keep himself upright.

The Titan's gigantic head smashed into the ground.

Concrete erupted.

Its body tilted.

Slowly.

Slowly.

Then—

THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The Titan collapsed.

The impact shook the entire district.

Dust swallowed everything.

Roma couldn't see.

Nobody could.

For several seconds, the battlefield became completely silent.

Then the smoke began clearing.

Roma looked.

The Titan lay motionless.

Its massive head had been crushed.

Its body didn't move.

Its eyes had gone dark.

Roma smiled.

"We actually—"

"EH?!?!"

Roma looked up.

Luffy was shrinking.

"No."

His giant arm returned to normal.

Then his entire body became smaller.

Much smaller.

His arms shortened.

His legs shrank.

His head looked ridiculously oversized compared to the rest of him.

Chibi Luffy stood in the middle of the ruined street.

He stared at his hands.

Then his feet.

Then Roma.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BODY?!"

Roma stared.

Then remembered.

"Oh."

He face-palmed.

"Right."

Luffy panicked.

"RIGHT WHAT?!"

"Gear Third has a drawback."

Luffy froze.

"A what?"

"You shrink afterward."

"WHY?!"

"Because you just inflated your bones like balloons!"

Luffy looked offended.

"YOU COULD'VE WARNED ME!"

"YOU INVENTED IT FIVE SECONDS AGO!"

"I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD DO THIS!"

"NEITHER DID YOU!"

Luffy pointed toward the floating system screen.

"THE SYSTEM SHOULD'VE TOLD ME!"

Roma threw both hands upward.

"THE SYSTEM DOESN'T CONTROL YOUR BODY, LUFFY!"

Silence.

Roma rubbed his forehead.

"You're gonna be like that for a few minutes."

Luffy looked down at himself.

"...Really?"

"Yes."

Luffy raised his tiny fist.

"Can I still punch people?"

Roma stared.

"...Probably."

"Okay!"

And just like that, Luffy was happy again.

Roma sighed.

The Alliance members had gathered around them.

Every single one was staring at Luffy.

A Cameraman tilted its head sideways.

The Speakerman's music stopped.

One TV Man's screen displayed:

-_-

Roma slowly looked around.

"...Yeah."

He pointed at Luffy.

"He's from another world."

Chibi Luffy waved.

"HI!"

Roma continued.

"He has weird powers."

One of the Cameramen looked at Roma's completely diamond body.

Then back at Luffy.

Then back at Roma.

Roma paused.

"...Okay, I realize how stupid that explanation sounds coming from me."

The first Cameraman—the one who'd originally approached Roma—stepped forward.

It gave him a thumbs-up.

Another Cameraman did the same.

Then the Speakerman.

The TV Men acknowledged them.

Roma blinked.

"Are you..."

He pointed toward himself.

Then toward Luffy.

"Welcoming us?"

The Cameraman nodded.

DING!

A new screen appeared.

Roma smiled.

"That's useful."

Another screen.

HIDDEN REWARD CLAIMEDALLIANCE COMMUNICATION DEVICE

Effect:

The host can now interpret communication from Cameramen, Speakermen, and TV Men, including nonverbal signals, encoded audio, and faction-specific communication.

Roma's eyes widened.

"...Okay."

He looked at the Cameraman.

"That's REALLY useful."

The Cameraman made a series of mechanical clicks.

Except this time...

Roma understood them.

Perfectly.

"Welcome, Diamond Warrior."

Roma froze.

The Cameraman continued.

"I am Cameraman Seven. I was dispatched to investigate the Titan-class Skibidi presence within this district."

Roma stared.

This was weird.

The Cameraman hadn't suddenly started speaking normally.

Roma's new device was translating the meaning behind its communication directly into something his brain could understand.

"You and your companion prevented significant civilian casualties. The Alliance acknowledges your assistance."

Roma blinked.

"Oh."

He scratched the back of his head.

"Uh... no problem."

Roma pointed toward Luffy.

"This is my..."

He paused.

Friend?

Teammate?

Random pirate abducted alongside him?

"...partner, I guess."

Luffy raised both tiny arms.

"I'm Monkey D. Luffy!"

Cameraman Seven stared down at him.

Luffy grinned.

"Nice to meet you, cool camera guy!"

Cameraman Seven remained silent for several seconds.

Then Roma heard the translated communication.

"...Is he always like this?"

Roma closed his eyes.

He sighed deeply.

"You have no idea."

Then the ground began shaking again.

Roma immediately spun around.

"Another Titan?!"

Cameraman Seven raised one hand.

"Negative."

Roma relaxed slightly.

The sound grew louder.

Engines.

Heavy mechanical footsteps.

Vehicles.

An entire Alliance convoy entered the ruined district.

Dozens of Cameramen.

Large Cameramen.

More Speakermen.

Advanced support units.

TV Men.

Armored vehicles.

Roma watched them approach.

"This is..."

A serious military force.

Not just a few soldiers.

A full task force.

One particularly enormous upgraded Cameraman unit moved near the front of the formation.

Roma stared upward.

The machine towered over the street, fitted with multiple reinforced lenses and heavy armor.

The system identified it separately from ordinary Alliance soldiers.

ALLIANCE UNIT IDENTIFIED

Designation: Titan Cameraman 3.5

Roma raised an eyebrow.

Roma's Mind: 3.5?

The giant Cameraman knelt.

Its lenses focused on Roma.

Then Luffy.

A deeper encoded transmission came through Roma's communication device.

"I witnessed your battle through surviving surveillance systems throughout this district."

Roma looked upward.

"You destroyed a Titan-class Skibidi with extraordinary efficiency."

The lens zoomed in.

"Identify yourselves."

Roma opened his mouth.

"We're—"

"I'M MONKEY D. LUFFY!"

Roma's face dropped.

Luffy threw both tiny arms upward.

"AND I'M GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES!"

Silence.

Titan Cameraman 3.5 stared.

Its lens zoomed in.

Then out.

Then in again.

Roma covered his face.

The translated response finally reached him.

"...Pirate King?"

Roma immediately stepped forward.

"Ignore him."

"HEY!"

"We're travelers from another dimension."

The giant Cameraman focused on Roma.

Roma pointed at himself.

"Something sent us here."

Then toward the ruined Titan.

"And apparently our goals involve fighting the Skibidi Toilets."

Roma crossed his arms.

"We don't know how long we're staying, but while we're here..."

He looked around at the destroyed city.

"...we might as well help."

Titan Cameraman 3.5 remained still.

Its lens scanned Roma's diamond body.

Then Luffy.

Then the battlefield.

Finally:

"Your power is exceptional, Diamond One."

Roma's eyebrow twitched.

Roma's Mind: Diamond One?

"Your companion is..."

The Titan paused.

Its lens focused on tiny Luffy.

Luffy waved.

"...unusual."

Roma snorted.

"That's putting it lightly."

"However, his combat ability is undeniable."

Titan Cameraman 3.5 stood.

"The Alliance accepts your assistance."

Roma smiled.

The Titan continued.

"We are at war."

Its tone became more serious.

"The Skibidi Toilets have overwhelmed multiple territories. Human populations continue to fall. Alliance forces are stretched across numerous fronts."

Roma's smile faded.

That part wasn't funny.

"We require every capable combatant available."

Roma held out one diamond fist.

"Count us in."

Behind him—

"SHISHISHISHI!"

Roma turned.

Chibi Luffy was jumping up and down.

"MORE ADVENTURES!"

Roma stared.

"Luffy."

"Yeah?!"

"You're six inches tall."

Luffy looked down.

"...Oh."

Titan Cameraman 3.5 stood fully upright.

"Very well."

The convoy began moving.

"Follow us."

The enormous unit pointed toward the distance.

"We will transport you to Alliance Base Alpha."

Roma's eyes narrowed.

"There, you will meet higher command and receive information regarding current operations."

Roma nodded.

"Sounds good."

He started walking.

Then stopped.

Something was wrong.

He turned.

Luffy was running behind him.

His tiny legs moved rapidly.

But he was barely going anywhere.

"WAIT FOR ME!"

Roma stared.

Cameraman Seven looked down.

Luffy continued running.

"HEY!"

Cameraman Seven bent over.

Picked him up.

And placed him on one arm.

Luffy's eyes lit up.

"WOOOOAAAH!"

The Cameraman started walking.

Luffy waved both tiny arms from his new position.

"ROMA! LOOK!"

Roma covered his mouth.

He was trying very hard not to laugh.

"Don't."

"LOOK HOW HIGH I AM!"

"You're being carried like a toddler."

"SHISHISHISHI!"

Roma failed.

He laughed.

The Alliance convoy continued toward its base.

As they traveled, Roma opened his status screen.

Roma smiled.

His abilities really were developing the more he used them.

Not just becoming stronger.

He was discovering new ways to apply Dimo's power.

His Custom Character Degree had already climbed from 1% to 1.5%.

Half a percent didn't sound impressive.

Until Roma remembered what one percent had already given him.

Roma's Mind: If this keeps going...

One hundred percent.

Roma couldn't even imagine it.

Then he glanced toward Luffy.

The idiot was currently pretending Cameraman Seven's arm was a pirate ship.

Yet somehow—

In a single battle—

Luffy had discovered Gear Second.

Then Gear Third.

Abilities he shouldn't have developed until much later in his journey.

Roma's smile faded slightly.

Roma's Mind: We're both changing too fast.

That thought stayed with him.

Because rapid growth sounded amazing.

Until you started asking why it was happening.

Roma looked toward the sky.

They were inside the Skibidi Toilet universe.

The war was real.

Which meant powerful enemies were still out there.

G-Toilet.

Scientist units.

Titan-class enemies.

Whatever other monstrosities this version of the war contained.

And if this world's history continued evolving...

There could be threats far worse than what they'd seen today.

Roma exhaled.

Roma's Mind: This is going to be a long arc.

Eventually, the ruined city gave way to a massive structure in the distance.

Roma's eyes widened.

Alliance Base Alpha.

Enormous reinforced walls surrounded the compound.

Observation towers watched every direction.

Hundreds of Alliance units patrolled the exterior.

Vehicles moved through reinforced checkpoints.

Searchlights swept across the sky.

Roma whistled.

"Not bad."

Luffy raised himself from Cameraman Seven's arm.

"WOAH!"

Roma smiled.

Then—

His body went cold.

He stopped walking.

Cameraman Seven turned toward him.

"Problem?"

Roma didn't answer.

Something was wrong.

Not visually.

Nothing had moved.

No enemy had appeared.

The Alliance hadn't reacted.

But Roma could feel it.

A presence.

Watching.

His diamond fingers tightened.

Roma scanned the rooftops.

Nothing.

Windows.

Nothing.

The distant skyline.

Nothing.

Yet the feeling remained.

Heavy.

Controlled.

Powerful.

It wasn't coming from the Alliance.

Roma was sure of that.

And somehow...

he didn't think it was a Skibidi Toilet either.

Roma's Mind: What is that...?

He turned sharply.

For the smallest fraction of a second—

He thought he saw something.

A figure.

Standing atop a distant building.

Watching them.

Roma blinked.

Gone.

His eyes narrowed.

"Roma?"

Luffy had finally returned to normal size.

He jumped down beside him.

"What're you looking at?"

Roma kept staring toward the building.

"...Nothing."

Luffy tilted his head.

Roma's expression became serious.

No.

Not nothing.

Someone was watching them.

Someone who hadn't attacked.

Someone who hadn't revealed themselves.

Someone who had watched Roma and Luffy arrive...

fight...

grow...

and join the Alliance.

The sensation disappeared.

But Roma didn't relax.

Because now he knew something important.

There were more than two sides to this war.

The Alliance.

The Skibidi Toilets.

And somewhere in the shadows—

a third party had noticed them.

Roma looked toward Alliance Base Alpha.

Roma's Mind: Great.

He sighed.

Roma's Mind: We haven't even been here a day.
