Chapter 798 - Chapter 798 Weakness

The gray wolf Chimera Ant was named Warwick.

The origin of his ability was indeed related to the story of the Big Bad Wolf. Judging by the ability effects, it lacked direct lethality.

Setting up an ability like this was mostly because Warwick's pursuit was rather unconventional. He was the type who enjoyed tormenting prey, not giving them a quick end.

Using the chase as a trigger, then activating the ability effects, conjuring 'identification marks' on both himself and the prey.

Grandma's strawberry dress represented the wolf, while the red hat represented Little Red Riding Hood.

The person being chased would be forced to wear the red hat, while the pursuer naturally became the Big Bad Wolf wearing the dress.

This method of wearing the 'identification marks' wasn't fixed. If Warwick became the one being chased, he would also be forced to wear the red hat, switching the roles.

This ability was named: The Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood.

-If that's what you thought, then I'd have to say you're completely wrong.

As a Chimera Ant with pursuits and style, Warwick gave his beloved ability an especially beloved name. It was called: Hehehe.

Warwick absolutely adored the Nen Ability he developed, so he felt this name was most appropriate because he could often have it on his lips.

After seeing Killua's rather strange reaction, Warwick felt all the pores on his body open up, very comfortable.

'This is it, yes, this is what I wanted to see, hehehe.'

He wanted to watch the prey fall into the abyss of fear, then slowly die within that fear.

Just like Killua now, that kind of exposed emotion only made him completely excited.

Gon also felt Killua's extremely obvious desire to retreat.

Though he didn't understand what was happening, this Killua was strange.

Killua's speed had slowed down, so Gon also slowed down, running almost side by side with Killua.

The pressure from behind remained clear, and Killua seemed to have lost his will to fight.

'If things continued like this...'

Gon suddenly stopped, turned around, and faced the pursuing Warwick alone.

"Gon?"

Killua saw Gon's action and instinctively wanted to stop with him.

But... his body was still running forward.

He really... wanted to stop!

Killua looked back at Gon's retreating figure, feeling as if a large piece had been torn from his heart.

One was still running, one had stopped, so the distance instantly widened.

The distance grew further and further apart...

'Would I abandon Gon and flee alone?'

Blood suddenly sprayed from Killua's lips, bitten hard.

Gon couldn't see Killua's expression. His eyes were only on Warwick with his huge tongue hanging out.

His reason for stopping was simple: let Killua, whose body was getting heavier, run as far as possible, while he handled containment and would catch up later.

"That's not being good."

Seeing Gon stop fearlessly, Warwick's eyes turned cold. The muscles on his body suddenly swelled, covered in powerful Aura.

Gon took a deep breath, facing Warwick charging straight at him, adopting the starting posture for Rock-Paper-Scissors.

A considerable amount of Aura gathered on his fist held at his side, emitting a bright light.

Warwick, however, acted as if he didn't see the accumulating Aura. His speed suddenly surged, and in a flash, he appeared before Gon.

"If it's an ultimate move that requires charging...!"

Warwick slapped Gon away, also interrupting his ultimate move.

"...you shouldn't be so brazen using it right in my face."

Watching Gon fly backwards, Warwick's eyes held a cold light as he stepped forward to pursue.

Actually, for him, one prey was enough. And Killua's performance was irreplaceable, so whether the other brat lived or died was irrelevant.

Gon flew about ten meters before crashing heavily to the ground.

'He can attack me.'

Gon quickly got up. His previous charge hadn't been completed, so before taking that slap, he still had surplus Aura for defense.

Only... compared to the absurdly exaggerated increase in speed, the force of this slap didn't seem strong.

No time to think more… the other party approached again.

In just a few seconds, Warwick, with absolute speed advantage, slapped Gon away again.

In the short time that followed, Warwick caught up and slapped Gon away several more times.

Such aggressive attacks, yet they didn't seriously injure Gon, let alone take his life.

'Something feels weird.'

Gon sensed something strange, then was slapped away again. When he hit the ground, he spat out a small mouthful of blood.

He was covered in dust, looking quite miserable, but not seriously injured.

'Deliberately holding back to satisfy his interest, or was the force never strong to begin with?'

Gon rolled over and got up, staring intently at the approaching Warwick.

Although the other party displayed strong strength, Gon always felt there was a chance to defeat him.

'I need to find a way to hit him again!'

Gon thought to himself.

Smack!

He was slapped away again, then slammed heavily into a large tree.

So many slaps hadn't killed Gon, but Warwick wasn't surprised at all.

This had nothing to do with Gon being an Enhancer-type. It was simply because Gon could face him without fear.

Fear and other negative emotions could weaken the prey's speed, strength, and even damage. Conversely, if the prey was fearless, the damage caused by him, the hunter, would not only be weakened but also couldn't deliver a fatal blow.

This was the rule power contained within his Nen Ability's effect, also its condition.

However, even if the damage was weakened, as long as the number of attacks landed reached the standard, it was enough.

Slap Gon to death, then have a good playtime with Killua.

This was Warwick's plan, and he wasn't worried at all about Killua escaping. The red thread connecting them allowed him to track Killua's location.

As Warwick continued to advance towards Gon, Killua, who had been fleeing all along, suddenly cut in, standing between them.

"Oh?"

This scene surprised Warwick quite a bit. Moreover, based on the information fed back by the ability effects, Killua seemed to be resisting the previously uncontrollable fear.

'Gathering courage after seeing his companion's pitiful state?'

But that's all it was. Even without relying on [Hehehe]'s ability effect of amplifying fear and other negative emotions, he could still turn Killua into a [Weak Group].

Warwick could clearly grasp Killua's psychological state. He immediately sneered coldly, suddenly opened his large mouth, exuding a chilling Aura, and pressed it heavily onto Killua.

With the prey this fearful, any random punch from him could exert several times the power, but he wouldn't easily destroy Killua, this toy.

"Come on, use that pitifully little courage of yours to attack me!"

Warwick came before Killua completely defenseless, like a mountain pressing down on him.

Killua's eyes widened, his chest heaving violently, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.

After seeing Gon being slapped away repeatedly, he finally couldn't endure his own actions.

Abandoning Gon... even if it meant death, he absolutely could not do it!

Holding this thought, Killua let out a low roar. The nails on his right hand suddenly grew sharp and long, electricity snaking around them rapidly.

Swish!

His right hand stabbed at Warwick's chest like lightning, accompanied by a faint sizzling sound. However, the sharp, long nails couldn't even pierce Warwick's skin.

Killua was instantly stunned. The courage he had mustered with great difficulty vanished in an instant.

Not far away, Gon, seeing this scene, was also stunned.

'How could it have no effect at all?'

"Hehehe."

A comfortable expression appeared on Warwick's face.

Prey already labeled as [Weak Group], how could they injure the hunter?

Warwick, of course, wouldn't specifically explain the reason.

Suddenly, the expression on Warwick's face froze. A blood line inexplicably appeared on his neck.

"Killua, why aren't you running?"

As Warwick lost control of his body, he heard a voice from behind.

'When did-?'

He wondered.

"B-brother..."

Killua looked at Illumi standing behind Warwick, panic appearing on his face.

Illumi raised his hand and forcefully slapped Warwick's head away.
