When I finally made my way back to the palace and stepped into my room, I found Ari waiting patiently right by the door. Apparently, she had been worried absolutely sick about me not returning yesterday. The second she laid eyes on me, she completely bawled her eyes out then and there, clinging to me pretty tightly. She must have really hated the mere idea of me actually abandoning her in this massive palace all by herself.
Man, she was really adorable, that girl. She just kept on crying and saying, "Please don't leave me, God, I promise not to do anything wrong." Poor girl. I tried my best to convince her that I would never dream of abandoning her, but she didn't buy it at all. Instead, she still fiercely clung to my waist. I gotta say, she really is the ultimate Amaejo.
