I left Yuki behind in the garden and quickly headed for Princess Elara's room. She had stubbornly insisted on coming along when I briefly explained to her that there was going to be a coordinated attack tonight, but I firmly told her I could handle it. That wasn't me getting carelessly cocky or overly protective of her. I genuinely would be able to handle a bunch of lowly assassins without much sweat, and I was already well aware of the fact that Yuki was much stronger than I was anyway. After all that extensive preparation I had carefully made, it felt only right that I handled this entire situation myself. Besides, it's not like I'm doing this completely alone either. The Enslaved are already on the move, and my proxy was stationed right by Princess Elara's room to keep guard.
"Ria, how many are there on your end?" I asked Aria through the mindlink.
"Um... let's see... There are four heading toward the Second Princess's room."
"Right. Lucy, what about your side?"
