The second bout had ended, and the score now stood at one to one between the Rising Heroes and the Jade Court. What once seemed like a clash between two undefeated teams had now turned into a true test. Both sides had tasted defeat for the first time in this tournament. The pressure had doubled. The importance of the next fight had grown even more.
Everything now depended on the final bout.
The entire arena could feel it.
Ifa's loud and energetic voice echoed once again, breaking the tension. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! This is it! The third bout! The final bout that will decide who takes the bonus points! Let's gooo!"
The crowd roared in excitement.
Shai followed with her calm and clear voice, "Introducing the fighters for this deciding bout… from the Rising Heroes, Lila… and from the Jade Court, Rin."
Ifa quickly added, "Now here's the fun part! Both fighters are dual-element spear users! This is going to be something special!"
Shai nodded slightly, "Yes. Fire and water… complete opposites. Against thunder and wind… elements that flow together. This is not just a battle of strength, but also of control over magic."
The crowd leaned forward. The excitement was at its peak.
This was not just another fight. This was the fight.
Both Lila and Rin stepped into the arena.
They stood facing each other.
Neither of them spoke.
Their eyes met, locked in focus. Both of them understood the importance of this fight. One small mistake could decide everything.
They began to move slowly, taking careful steps, watching each other closely.
Then, they both made the first move.
"Fireball!"
"Thunderstrike!"
Two attacks shot forward at the same time. Flames and lightning collided in the center, creating a loud burst of energy.
Neither gained an advantage.
They continued.
"Water Bullet!"
"Wind Cutter!"
Again, both attacks met and cancelled each other out.
The crowd reacted with excitement.
This was a perfect balance.
Without wasting time, both of them rushed forward.
Their spears clashed.
The sound of metal hitting metal echoed sharply.
Lila swung her spear, aiming directly at Rin's head. Rin quickly ducked down, avoiding the attack, and immediately responded by swinging her spear upward.
Lila reacted instantly, performing a backflip to dodge the strike.
The moment she landed, she jumped forward again, not giving Rin any time to breathe.
Rin stepped back slightly, adjusting her stance, and swung her spear horizontally.
Lila bent her body low, narrowly avoiding the strike. At the same time, she used her leg to try and trip Rin.
But Rin was quick.
She jumped at the last moment and avoided the sweep, then immediately slammed her spear downward.
Lila lifted her spear and blocked the attack just in time.
Their weapons locked.
Both of them pushed against each other, trying to overpower the other.
For a moment, neither moved.
Then Lila slid away, breaking the clash.
Rin did not stop.
"Zap Trap!"
Electricity crackled around her spear as she launched herself forward with incredible speed.
"Flame Charge!"
Lila responded instantly, covering herself in flames as she charged forward.
Electric sparks appeared around Rin, striking unpredictably. But Lila kept moving, using small bursts of "Fireball" to counter the incoming zaps.
The two rushed toward each other again.
At the last moment, Rin changed her move.
"Pressing Gale."
She pointed the tip of her spear forward precisely.
The moment Lila came into range, a powerful gust exploded from Rin's spear.
Lila was blown away, sent flying backward across the arena.
The crowd gasped.
Lila quickly regained her footing and stood back up.
Rin was already moving again.
She closed the distance and began swinging her spear rapidly.
Lila blocked and parried each strike with her own spear. The clash between them continued again and again. Sparks flew, dust rose, and the sound of their battle echoed loudly.
Neither was backing down.
After a few moments of exchange, Lila decided to change the pace.
"Spiralling Duality."
Her spear began to spin as both fire and water elements wrapped around it, creating a swirling force.
But Rin was ready.
"Thunderstorm Crackled."
Electricity and wind gathered around her spear.
Both of them released their attacks at the same time.
The collision was massive. A loud explosion shook the arena. It felt as if the ground itself trembled. The crowd could feel the impact in their bodies. For a moment, everything was covered in dust.
Then slowly, the dust began to clear. Both Lila and Rin stood there.
Unmoved. Still ready.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
This was a fight worthy of the tournament.
They continued as if nothing had happened. The intensity did not drop even for a second. They fought on for few more minutes.
But then, Lila made her move.
"Pyro-Hydro Blades."
She detached her spear into two parts, holding one in each hand. One burned with fire, the other flowed with water.
The crowd roared.
This was her full power.
She dashed forward.
But before she could even reach... "Obliterating End."
Suddenly... Everything stopped.
Lila dropped to her knees.
The arena went silent.
No one understood what had just happened.
There was no visible attack.
No sound. No movement.
Even Lila herself looked confused. She didn't understand how she had been hit.
Then, people noticed.
Rin was no longer in front of her. She was behind Lila. Standing calmly. It was as if she had teleported.
Complete silence filled the arena.
Even the referee hesitated for a moment before raising his hand. "The winner… Rin."
The Jade Court had won the match.
Rin gently spoke, her voice calm but sincere, "Lila… you are strong. But I am faster… and stronger than you."
There was no arrogance in her tone. Only honesty.
She then extended her hand and helped Lila stand up.
The commentators finally spoke.
Shai took a deep breath, "I believe everyone is confused right now. What we just witnessed… is something very rare. I have only heard about it before."
She paused for a moment.
"Rin… also known as the 'Vanishing Thunder.' This is her skill where she moves at such speed that she disappears from sight… and strikes from behind."
Ifa let out a nervous laugh, "That is… terrifying. I am very glad I am not the one fighting her. Now we know why she is the vice-captain of the Jade Court!"
The crowd slowly began to cheer again.
Lila walked back toward her team. Her steps were slow. Her head slightly lowered. She felt the weight of the loss.
As she reached them, she looked at Sera.
"I'm sorry… you fought so well… and won… but I lost…"
Sera immediately shook her head.
"You didn't let me down at all. That fight… was amazing."
Drakar stepped forward, crossing his arms. "If that's how you see it, then I'm at fault too. I lost first."
He looked at both of them.
"What matters now… is the next match."
Doran nodded in agreement. "Yeah. We just keep moving forward."
Fizzle floated closer, trying to cheer them up.
Slowly, Lila lifted her head.
They were right. This wasn't the end. All of them nodded together. They would move forward.

As the remaining matches of the day concluded, the energy of the tournament slowly settled.
Day 2 had ended.
But the excitement had only grown stronger.
Now... everyone waited for Day 3.
