I remember someone once said, time is a bastard—whatever has already happened is bound to happen; no matter how you mess with it, in the end it'll roll into the basket, but the exact way it rolls in is something you can still work on.
So whether it's this Easter-Egg World or that Tie Dan World, both have already broken away from the original Zero-Egg timeline. All the plotlines are the product of being repeatedly tweaked and refined by that transcendent time-traveling Taoist Ancestor of the Great Dao.
There's no point agonizing over which one is closer to the "original," since the original never made it into the goal; it fell at last into the abyss where humanity is destroyed and all things come to an end, which naturally makes it meaningless. All you can say is, seize the moment—whatever cards you draw, you play; no need to overthink it...
You can't possibly not care, right!?
"What kind of person is the Northern Empress? Mm, she's a very strong woman?"
