Anhu City, in an inconspicuous courtyard.
A pale-faced, petite woman was fashioning a strawman like a farmer tying straw.
Her hands moved deftly, and in no time, a lifelike strawman stood in the courtyard.
The strawman was about seven feet tall, wearing a bamboo hat and clad in a black cloak. Its face was crafted from densely tied straw, and the woman used red ink to draw its features. Yet, its features gave a very eerie feeling.
Though it bore a smile, it sent shivers down one's spine.
After finishing the strawman, the woman didn't stop. She took out a small black banner and a talisman, shaking the banner while chanting.
"Netherworld Road, Blood River opens, Wrongful Death City shatters, lonely souls come! Scorched soul straw stalks stand on the spirit platform, the seven orifices open to attract the fetal soul!"
A thick cloud of ghost qi gathered on the small banner, and she swiftly threw the talisman.
"Tuoh!"
