Speaking of it, Ye Shikai indeed felt ashamed. Looking at the current situation, it's very likely that this matter was done by Chen Yuxin. She must have secretly bred a kind of worm, and then used a special method to make Ji Tao ingest it, leading to his serious illness. As for the method, it's unknown. Maybe it's an inside job, or maybe through some other means. In any case, Chen Yuxin is the most suspicious, and Ye Shikai, as the son-in-law of the Chen family, at least for now, staying at the Ji family, is somewhat "strange," isn't it? If it weren't for Ji Qian, he might have been besieged by some people in the Ji Family.
Although Ye Shikai was unaware of Ji Tao's matter and unwilling for it to happen, after all, he is still Chen Yuxin's husband. He is also responsible for her actions, so he felt a wave of self-blame.
