Ye Shikai took the pill and put it into his Storage Ring. He wasn't sure if Chen Yuxin was lying to him, but this was the only hope of saving Ji Tao; he couldn't give up.
"I'm leaving." Just as Ye Shikai was about to go, Chen Yuxin suddenly blocked his way.
"Kai, you really don't want to stay?"
"Your ambition is too great. Desire has already blinded your eyes. It's me who never really saw you clearly." Ye Shikai murmured, gently pushing Chen Yuxin's hand away as he walked past her.
"Oh right, take good care of Ye Yi. I… I'll come to see him in some time." Ye Shikai suddenly stopped, turned around and spoke. The two of them stared at each other for several minutes in silence. Ye Yi was their child; no matter what, Ye Shikai didn't want to drag him into this.
