The sounds of soil wriggling and rocks scraping echoed densely in the night, as bizarre, non-human shaped constructs appeared all around the block's square. They emerged from the ground and the surfaces of nearby buildings, constantly converging under the influence of moonlight from the living lighthouse.
Then, that familiar whispering began to echo throughout the square, layered and interwoven—
"Kill the moon... Kill the moon..."
A large number of soil constructs surged towards the living lighthouse that was supporting the moonlight, starting to climb upwards along the tower. At the same time, the lighthouse immediately reacted.
A piercing steam whistle sounded from the direction of the giant hand atop the lighthouse, steam pipes attached to the tower hissed, and lethal high-temperature steam burst forth along the tower. The soil constructs close to the tower were blasted into fragments by the steam, while swirling white mist filled the sky above the square.
