After the battle Nova picked up an unconscious Shiki and then started heading towards Kairi's location. She jumped into the air with shiki in hand as giant white wings came out of her back. Nova flew into the air at high speed with every flap of her wings; cold mist started spreading throughout the sky. The air around her started freezing. Nova flew higher and higher into the atmosphere, but before she entered orbit, she folded in her wings and started falling back down at high speed. She used the built-up speed to head towards Kairi's potion, but then Nova noticed that she couldn't reopen her wings; she was about to crash into the woods. Nova swiftly started gathering ice magic into her hand; she then started to fire blasts of ice, trying to slow her re-entry. Nova started to drift away from the woods. Nova put her hand forward and started firing multiple ice blasts towards the ground, but it was too late. She crashed into the ground outside of the woods; a massive crater was made from the crash. Nova quickly emerged from the crater with Shiki in hand. She let out a massive sigh and said, "What a pain! Now I have to walk all the way to Kairi." Suddenly Nova felt a sharp burning pain coming from her head; she dropped Shiki and fell to her knees screaming. Nova started to grab her head as the pain started to increase, then multiple images started flashing through her mind. Nova said, "What is this?" The pain started to fade as Nova stood back on her feet. She picked back up Shiki and started to rub her head slightly. Nova said, "This pain, where did it come from?" Nova started to walk through the woods, but with every step, the sharp pain in her head started to get worse and worse. Nova finally reached the others. She called out to Kairi, "Kairi, come here; I need your help." She rushed over to Kairi and realised that Nova was on the verge of collapse. Kairi took Shiki from Nova's hand and placed her with the others. After that, she went back over to Nova and placed her hand on Nova's forehead, saying, "You're burning up quite badly." Kairi grabbed Nova's hand and dragged her through the woods. Nova looked down at Kairi's hand and smiled, but when she looked back up, there was a giant lake right in front of her. Kairi let go of Nova's hand and quickly used both of her hands to collect some water. She then swiftly ran back over to Steph and said, "Open your mouth." Nova opened her mouth wide as Kairi started to pour the water into Nova's mouth. Nova swallowed the water as the pain slowly started to fade. Kairi grabbed Nova's shoulders and said, "Are you okay now? Does your head still hurt?" Nova took a deep breath and said, "The pain is still there, but it isn't as bad. Thank you, love." Kairi and Nova sat down beside the lake. Nova rested her head against Kairi's arm, then swiftly drifted off to sleep. A few hours pass, and Kairi's sleep is suddenly broken by Nova's screaming. She looked at Nova and realised that she was still sleeping. Kairi picked up Nova then swiftly threw her into the lake. The cold wet water instantly woke Nova up. She grabbed her head as the sharp pain started to fade, but before the pain went away, she heard a sinister voice deep inside her mind saying, "COME TO ME, MY DEAR NOVA." Suddenly blood started dripping from her nose as Kairi rushed over with a worrying expression on her face. Nova stood and said, "Someone's calling out to me." Kairi looked deep into Nova's eyes and said, "Do you know who it is?" She shook her head, then wiped the blood from her nose. Nova stood up from the lake and then said, "These voices started from outside of the forest. Maybe if we go there we could find the person who's calling out to me." Kairi grabbed Nova's hand then said, "Let's go; we must put a stop to this." Shortly after, Nova and Kairi started heading out of the woods. At first everything seemed normal, but then multiple images started flashing through Nova's mind; they would rapidly vanish, making it impossible to make out. Nova rubbed her head and said, "Let's keep going." They continued walking, and in the far distance Kairi noticed an old run-down theatre. Nova suddenly stopped walking as the images in her mind became more clear. Her eyes opened as she realised the images that were flashing through her mind were of Hanako. Nova took a deep breath and said, "Hanako." Kairi grabbed onto Nova's hand gently and then said, "I know how much she meant to you, love, but it will be okay." Nova smiled in response; they started rushing towards the abandoned theatre. In quick succession they reached the theatre. Nova grabbed the old door and opened it; the door made a loud banging noise. They both walked inside; suddenly music started playing. The music had this soft melody to it. They both continued to walk through the theatre until they reached a room with a large stage. Suddenly the stage lit up and the voice from Nova's head spoke; even Kairi could hear it now. "The failed lover has returned." The music in the theatre started to get louder and louder until multiple cardboard cutouts of Nova and a few others appeared on stage. A cardboard cutout of Nova and Hanako appeared on stage. The voice said, "They were a happy couple that lived in harmony; some people would even call them perfect, but" The Hanako cardboard cutout disappeared, and the Nova one was left all alone. The voice said, "When she first found out about the truth of the world, she was left all alone, and she didn't even think about her lover at first." The stage lights disappeared, and the cutouts of Nova and Hanako hugging appeared on stage. The lights turned back on as the voice said, "Even after they reunited, their love didn't last forever." The lights went out again as it showed a cutout of Yeon devouring Hanako's body. As the room lit up, the voice said, "Hanako was killed by a sinner and her lover. Even though she killed Yeon, something didn't feel right with Hanako in that moment." The cutouts disappeared, and then suddenly the music stopped. A creepy sound started coming from the stage as a cutout of Kairi and Nova appeared on stage. The voice said, "Shortly after Hanako's death, Nova already moved on; she didn't hesitate, she didn't resist, she fully accepted her childhood friend as her new lover." Nova and Kairi stood there in shock as sweat started dripping down their faces. The light went out, and all the cutouts surrounded the stage, but in the middle was a woman with long black and white hair with a psychopathic smile on her face. Kairi and Nova instantly knew who this person was. Kairi said, "It can't be. How is this possible?" She turned and looked at Nova and realised she was crying. Nova said, "Hanako, is that really you?" Hanako took a deep bow on the stage as the music suddenly stopped. She said in her distorted voice, "I hope you enjoyed the show, my dear Nova, because the next time we meet, you will be mine and mine alone." Kairi looked at Hanako and realised her eyes were completely different then. Nova ran towards the stage, about to grab Hanako, but before she could touch her, she completely vanished. Nova stood there under the spotlight saying, "How is this possible? I saw her die in my arms." Kairi walked up beside Nova and gently grabbed her hand, saying, "After we finish this current situation, we will find a place to live and handle Hanako when the time comes." Nova looked at Kairi and nodded her head. She said, "Let's head back to the others." Kairi and Nova rushed out of the theatre and headed back into the woods.
