Sam glanced among the council until his eyes landed on the leader of the Revival, Vincent, and then on Matilda Silvershade, belonging to the Purists. They rarely met eye to eye but today had gathered at one place to see Asheron's mate.
Vincent was here to gloat about finally having found a wolf's true mate while Matilda to show off the news about her omega daughter set to mate with an Alpha. At least now, she wouldn't exclusively try to hurt Elia with her mind occupied by Sam's proposal.
"It is such a joyous moment for the Revival" Vincent started, unable to stay silent anymore. He stared right at Matilda as he said, "A true mate has finally been found"
Matilda's smile in return was fake, "You talk as if you found your own true mate, Vincent" She could see right through him. He wanted to rile her up.
Vincent grinned, "I think it is only a matter of time before I too will be blessed with a true mate. One has already appeared, others will soon follow"
