We clashed, a shockwave strong enough to knock tree's, crushing grounds and making the skies move. Each strike from each other, one to the other. "Amazing Kiiro, this is the power I wanted to see!" As I grinned widely, reaching for my sister's shoulder. I pierced through the armor, flicking a piece off as she staggered. She backs off a bit, and sends an energy slash. Fast as lightning, I dodged it with my wings maneuvering me around.
I flew back with full force, headbutting her in the chest. She then gritted her teeth, her eyes widened and faded, until suddenly. She snapped back, and regained her composure, while widening her hands and feet, she sent a barrage of blasts that spreaded everywhere.
The blast radius was huge, it exploded on contact as they hit everything. Trying to deflect all of it, I was consumed by four of the blasts . Then lifting my hands, and clenching my fists. "I won't let you WIIIIIIN!!!!!" Energy started spewing out of me, an aura that destroyed the blasts. Making my way, rushing everything that's thrown at me, preparing my sword for a strike. My eyes widened, my mouth opened in intensity, roaring with power as my wings soar like a bullet.
She saw me coming, "Just try it!" Ending her fury, while her sword in hand. We clashed, our swords sparking, and the sounds of our energy pushing each other, our eyes glistened intensely. I tilted my sword, trying to counter her block, as she flicked it quickly away from her, taking a little step back, raising her hand to my direction, she sent a blast of power towards me.
Direct hit, it took me by shock. I was being pushed back by the blast, "AAAAAAAARGH! Cmon, stop you stupid thing!" I put my hands in the center of the blast, trying to nullify the attack. The blast pushed me farther, exploding on impact with one of the tree's. As it crumbles, out of the debri and smoke, I barely stand my ground, that attack was critical.
My body was injured, but nothing too serious. Although I was tipping over here and there, I tried regaining my composure. I can only go so far, yet I don't know If I'll be able to win this. I gripped my sword, harder than before, focusing my mind, I used most of my energy, I had an idea. As my energy seeped through me, transfering most of it to my weapon, It worked.
The energy through the blade was sharper, and the glowing intensity was immense. All of this has to work, "This is it, I'll win this fight in my own way!" I thought to myself.
My sister was standing there, waiting for me. I charged towards her, my wings flying with full thrust. She readied her sword, and swung at me, as I dodged, barely hitting my face, while sliding and doing a rotation. I strike through my sister's chest, piercing her armor as well!
She smiled, as she slowly started dropping, the sword slowly sliding off her chest. On the ground, she finally said "You did it. That was some amazing fight huh." Being drained, I dropped down while sitting down. "Yeah, you too Sis." Being tired from that fight, I rested my body, dropping down like my sister.
"Well, how long is it gonna take you to heal?"
"I think in a few minutes, I'll be good."
That's right, my sister has a nine life factor, it's part of her ability. Even when she's killed, she'll have 3 lives for one day, if one of them was struck, recharging would take 3 days in the same manner as her 3 lives. That's why I wasn't worried for her, I was worried for myself!
It was a few days back before my sister left, she told me about her training with Olivia and stuff, never really knew the place until now. It's kinda poetic.
"Your methods are always crazy Sis, these stunts are too much for me."
"Sorry, I just wanted to see how strong you were. But you were really great, and I wouldn't have killed you. Maybe just- injure you?"
"You almost did!"
"Sorry!"
And here is where my journey ends. Or so I thought. As the night settled in, we made our way back to our city, and to our home.
"Olivia, we're back!"
"Sorry for the wait, Sis was trying to kill me!"
"Hey, I said I was sorry!"
We went back, doors opened by Olivia for both of us, walking through the inside of our home sweet home. We didn't need to knock since security cameras were there for Olivia to check. It was a long day, and I'm feeling very tired, hopefully I can get some rest today.
"Hey Kiiro, I haven't told you this, but I won't be coming back for a while again. I have to go back."
I was shocked by this, despite everything, she hasn't even told me about why she left. So I mustered up my courage and asked "Wait! Before you go, why did you leave!?"
She finally spoke up, "Well, I guess I don't have much time left, so I'll tell." As I listened carefully.
"Before our parents were still here, I received an offer that would have made me good money, but I rejected it since I couldn't leave you. But After our parents passed, that offer still stuck to me, so I left to take the job, without telling you it was my biggest mistake, you wouldn't be confused if I did. I was scared that you'd follow since you haven't been out there. After a while, I started liking my job, becoming a model and other things. Until Olivia came to me with a letter. That's when I returned to you."
She added.
"I hope you can forgive me."
As I was trying to process everything she said. I finally came to the conclusion that- "You could have told me earlier! Maybe an email or text couldn't hurt, I do have your number after all!" And all she could say was "Oh.. Right- my bad~ but you didn't text me either!" Which was partially my mistake as well..
"So, what now?" As I looked at the ground while clenching my fists, my face with a saddened look. I couldn't, I don't want her to leave me for the second time. "Kiiro, you're ready. Don't doubt yourself. Even when I'm gone, my love will still be with you, in here~" as she poked my chest directly, memories started flooding back to that girl, Sharlotte. It all makes sense now..
I smiled happily, it was the least I could do before she leaves. After a while, she packed all her things and started to say her goodbyes. "Bye Kiiro, Olivia! Take care!!!" I was sad but also hopeful, if she could come back, then I know that she will do so another time. As the door closed slowly, watching her walk away for the second time, it wasn't fear or despair. It was happiness.
The door closed fully, as I was about to make my way back to my room, Olivia quickly interrupted. "Master, I have news for you. After you awaken your powers, I found something that might be interesting to you." As she gave me something, a paper that seemed to be an ad for a school. "A school for meta's, this is interesting. Thanks Olivia, I'll take a look into it." As she smiled and nodded, while walking away.
That was it, that's how my story ended, after everything that happened. I felt satisfied, as I went back to my room. The window showing the night sky glimmering with stars, the full moon glistening. I put the paper on my desk, as I hopped onto bed. Closing my eyes slowly, I finally rested for the day. As the adventure continues, for another time.
The End.
