Chapter 842 - Chapter 837: Stealing Power

Beneath Winterfell, R'hllor used the Red Sword to ambush Dany once.

During the process in which she lost twenty percent of her divine soul, divinity, and divine power, she fully activated the Red Sword for the first time (the time at the Wall had only activated part of the runes inside the sword). The runes within the blade completely opened themselves to her.

Dany was very curious about why the Red Sword stuck to her hand and could not be shaken off no matter what she did.

Later, after studying those runes, she roughly figured out the reason.

Within the nature of fire lies a powerful trait of greed. It seems to want to devour everything that can burn.

In the natural world, the outward manifestation of this trait is very common.

For example, forest fires that burn for months without being extinguished, making a certain superpower the laughingstock of people around the world.

R'hllor's fire polarity followed the greedy instinct of fire. The original fire created the entire world. Could the world itself become fuel, burning everything away and returning the world to that original flame?

The reason the Red Sword could not be shaken off was because R'hllor had used his own ultimate principle of fire.

The polarity of fire's greed was hidden at the core of the Red Sword's runes, turning the blade into a flame that burned all things. Dany was like a tree in a burning forest, unable to escape the fate of being consumed.

Unless the sword itself was destroyed.

Now Dany used the technique she had learned from R'hllor on Lamb Egg, and Tyrion had become the human version of Lightbringer.

"Ahhhhhhh~~~~~~!"

In Avanti's living room, the dwarf wailed in agony. His voice seemed to carry countless echoes, male and female, young and old. It was as if countless tiny figures stood in his throat, singing together in a grand chorus.

They were chanting the most agonizing song of suffering in the mortal world.

The dwarf wore nothing but a pair of shorts. Strange runes were painted all over his body with dragon blood. The runes lit up with dark red flames that scorched his skin and even his soul.

"This is R'hllor's Devouring Array. Why is it here? What do you want to do?!"

Each syllable came from a different voice. Avanti and the others outside the room listened with terrified expressions, their bodies trembling.

After the formation Dany named the "Greed of Fire" activated, the "Jenny" that was already about to ripen immediately broke through the soil, sprouted, and grew vigorously. In just a few seconds, the will that belonged to Lamb Egg swelled into a towering tree.

To put it more plainly, Dany was imitating R'hllor's method. She was drawing Lamb Egg's divine soul, divine power, divinity, and even the Song of Fire into Tyrion.

Because Tyrion himself was the "human Gundam" Jenny had prepared for Lamb Egg. Deep within the dwarf's soul was a "faith spore."

As long as the dwarf developed faith in Balerion, the power of faith would nourish the spore, gradually "homogenizing" the dwarf's own soul into a part of Lamb Egg.

Thus, when the dwarf died, he would join the "Balerion family" in the most complete way possible.

Everything he had would belong to Lamb Egg.

The direct descendants of the Fourteen Flames families and the Valyrian sorcerers of past generations had also merged into Lamb Egg's divine soul in this way.

Dany's "Greed of Fire Array" did not possess the ability to seize Lamb Egg's divine soul. Its main function was to use Lamb Egg's divine soul to nourish the "faith spore" that originally belonged to him.

If she did nothing afterward, Lamb Egg's will would continue to grow until it ultimately extinguished the dwarf's own consciousness.

Lamb Egg would lose nothing. Instead, he would gain the dwarf's body.

It was like Dany forcibly summoning Lamb Egg over.

But Lamb Egg himself knew that the Dragon Queen would not go through so much trouble just to chat with him.

He began to struggle. Just like when Dany struggled to shake off the Red Sword that day, he tried to escape from Tyrion's body.

The dwarf's flesh resembled a clay idol in a temple that had endured wind and sun for years. Cracks began appearing across its surface, and red light shone through the fissures in his skin.

Countless beams of red light filled the room. Anyone who did not know the situation might think the dwarf was cultivating some supreme divine technique.

His body could not withstand the power of Lamb Egg's divine soul and began to collapse.

To break free from the Red Sword, the sword had to be destroyed. To leave the dwarf's body, it also had to be destroyed.

If Dany wanted to maximize her benefits, she should have waited to the side until Lamb Egg's divine soul continued to strengthen. At the moment it was about to burst the dwarf's body, she could kill the dwarf, burn the corpse, and use spiritual empowerment to convert the portion of Lamb Egg's divine soul in his sea of consciousness into spiritual essence and divinity.

However, she was not that black-hearted. No matter what, the dwarf had been helping her as an undercover agent, and the "fetus" in his mind counted as a work injury.

At the very least, the dwarf had killed Jenny at the final moment, which could be considered a great contribution.

"Tyrion, wake up quickly and activate Divine Descent!"

Dany tapped the dwarf's forehead with a finger, helping him activate the Seal of the Paladin. A large amount of warrior divine power poured into it. At the same time, the Holy Mother's healing technique flowed throughout his body, repairing his shattered flesh.

"Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, bolo bolo mi!"

The dwarf subconsciously chanted a spell.

"Crack crack... pop pop..."

His body expanded like an inflatable doll being pumped up by a pump wielded by a single man who had just watched adult films and swallowed ten Viagra pills for good measure.

The speed of expansion was astonishing.

In the span of a single breath, he became like Nezha from countless cold jokes.

The "Song of Vajra Strength Runes" engraved into his organs, muscles, and spine were even more effective than those in the soul, so powerful that even Dany felt shocked.

Because she could clearly sense that the dwarf's strength had already surpassed the limits of ordinary humans.

In other words, in his Divine Descent state, his strength was even greater than Dany's after she had absorbed the divinity of the Song of Strength.

"This dwarf really is a top-tier experimental material!" Dany's eyes shone.

If she could comprehend the Song of Strength through studying the dwarf... she did not even need to fully understand the Song of Strength. As long as she could naturally condense the runes on her own body, her power would increase by another large margin.

Perhaps she could break the Ice King's armor with physical attacks and split its head open with a single sword strike.

"The Holy Mother manifests! Divine Descent!"

The dwarf threw back his head and roared. His enormous voice shook the tiles on the roof beams until they rattled.

"Focus your mind and lock the foreign soul in your sea of consciousness with your will!"

Dany struck his soul with a calming blow, helping him regain his sanity.

"No~~~"

The "ten-thousand-voice chorus" in Tyrion's mouth gradually lowered. Finally, he spoke in his own voice.

"Ah, Your Majesty the Queen, my head feels like a bladder that has held urine for ten days. It's so swollen it's about to explode. Save me!"

The dwarf regained control of his body.

"Do not be anxious, do not panic. Right now you are experiencing the greatest opportunity of your life," Dany quickly reassured him.

"Your Majesty, please stop joking. I am experiencing the greatest pain of my life. Help me!" the dwarf wailed.

"Be quiet. Focus your mind and think carefully. Have you discovered that many memories have appeared in your mind? Balerion's soul is now sealed at the center of your consciousness.

He originally intended to forcibly merge with you, but the merging process has been suspended. In theory, the two of you are one person now. At the very least, there is no longer any barrier between your memories," Dany said in a low voice.

With her reminder, the dwarf immediately began to recall.

"Ahh~~~ bang!"

His remaining good eye instantly filled with a web of blood vessels before bursting apart.

The splattering fluid even landed on the Dragon Queen's fair and delicate face several meters away.

Ignoring the disgust, she urgently asked, "What did you see?"

"Too much, far too much. Countless memories. Who am I? No, I am Natalie. Let me go!" the dwarf cried. As he spoke, he suddenly let out a woman's scream, and halfway through it turned into the voice of an old woman.

He had not been controlled by Goat Egg's soul this time. Instead, the memories themselves were affecting him.

Goat Egg had been formed by the fusion of countless souls. Each soul contained the entirety of one person's memories. Possessing those memories meant that person would complete an alternative form of "possession."

Tyrion was like a careless child who had knocked over a suitcase full of memories.

Inside the suitcase were bottles of dye in various colors.

Each bottle represented a person's memories.

Different memories meant different colors of dye in the bottles.

Now countless bottles of dye had spilled into the "clear pool of Tyrion's memories," and he had been contaminated.

He was about to go mad.

"Why did you open so many memories at once?!" Dany cursed. Her figure flashed, and she appeared behind him. Flames containing the divine nature of fire's creation burned his hair, flesh, skull, brain, and the countless memories within his sea of consciousness.

The alien memories belonging to Goat Egg were burned into spiritual essence and divinity, while Tyrion's brain, bones, flesh, and eyeball slowly recovered within the fire of creation.

An ordinary person would have died long ago if burned like this. But Tyrion was different. He was a close blood relative of the Dragon Queen, and as Dany advanced, the level of their bloodline had risen. His resistance to fire far surpassed that of ordinary people.

Because of this, he was also the best experimental material for researching the fire of creation.

As the "impurities" within his memories were burned away, the dwarf regained his sanity once again.

"It is terrifying. Compared to Balerion's memories, my entire life is like a drop of water in a pond," he said in fear.

"Use technique. Let the memories come to you," Dany said.

"How do I do that?" Tyrion asked.

"Right now, there is an ocean of memories before you. You stand on the shore and call for a specific memory, rather than jumping into the sea and wandering among countless memories.

For example, if I ask you when Saint Baelor's nameday is, you cannot start recalling your life from birth and eventually encounter a memory fragment related to Saint Baelor's birthday," Dany explained slowly.

Tyrion was very clever. Not only did he immediately understand the method Dany described of "letting memories find you," he also guessed her purpose for putting him through all this.

"You want Balerion's sorcery knowledge? You could have said so earlier. I was worried that failing to complete the undercover mission would result in your punishment, so I kept seducing Jenny to teach me various kinds of sorcery," he said bitterly.

"Do you know the method for forging Valyrian steel?" Dany asked calmly.

"Jenny said that the technique of forging Valyrian steel can only be controlled by great wizards. She herself is not qualified to know it," the dwarf replied awkwardly.

"Do you know the realm of the Balrog King?" Dany asked again.

"What is the Balrog King?" the dwarf asked in confusion.

"Do you understand the Fire Armor?"

The dwarf sighed. "Just say it. Whatever you want, I will try to recall it."

"First record the Balrog King," Dany said excitedly.

The dwarf closed his eyes and began to ponder.

Balrog King. Balrog King. Balrog King.

Gradually, large amounts of memory leapt out from the ocean and entered the dwarf's sea of consciousness.

"Ah, it is so complicated. I cannot understand it, and I cannot remember it. What should I do?"

"Do you not always boast about how clever your brain is?" Dany said with dissatisfaction.

"If you asked me to recite The Chronicles of the Four Kings, I could memorize an entire article in an hour because I can understand it. But now I do not recognize those runes at all," Tyrion said helplessly.

With no other choice, Dany found a stack of Dragon Clan paper for him.
