Among the things on his to-do list, one last thing remained that he hadn't started. That was watching the egg he had gotten from the Raven, but there was only one problem. He had no idea how to do it; he had no idea how he was supposed to break open the egg. That was why he had left it towards the end, hoping that it was going to break until they got there.
But it hadn't, and now, he still had no idea what to do. He wasn't an expert in hatching eggs; he wasn't the most knowledgeable guy when it came to animals; he hadn't experienced one in a while.
If the egg wouldn't open, it just meant it needed more time, time he was going to give, after all; why wouldn't he? What did he get from trying to get it open too fast?
...
Which now only meant that he could finally go back to his anchor and finally start understanding how it worked. Aether sighed as he closed his eyes; the next time he opened them, finding himself back inside his own empty place.
