Chapter 377 - “When Have I Ever Lied to You?”

Although Wei Qingzhu was undeniably beautiful, her appearance had little effect on Luo Chuan.

He nodded calmly, his expression as indifferent as ever.

"Boss, I heard the ancient ruins have opened. Is that why the store was closed?" Zhou Hu asked, a flicker of excitement in his voice.

The others leaned in, clearly intrigued. For mercenaries like them, beyond honing their strength, curiosity about the affairs of high-level cultivators was second nature.

"Yes," Luo Chuan replied succinctly.

"Is there anything special about this set of ruins?" Song Qiuying asked, her tone curious and hopeful.

Special? Luo Chuan mused. There didn't seem to be anything normal about these ruins in the first place…

No ancient relics had ever appeared in such a chaotic, dramatic fashion. There were no fortunate encounters—only overwhelming danger. If he hadn't stepped in, the first group of cultivators to enter would likely have been wiped out. It could've gone down as the fastest full-party annihilation in the history of the Azure Continent's exploration of ancient ruins.

That said, Luo Chuan figured the news would soon spread across the entire continent. There was no point in hiding it.

He gave them a brief, matter-of-fact account.

A distorted, monster-ridden world. A crumbling reality. A towering World Tree that blanketed the heavens.

Though Luo Chuan's narration remained plain and emotionless, the sheer gravity of the events he described left everyone speechless. A silent chill passed through them.

Such danger... was beyond anything ordinary mercenaries like them could even begin to fathom.

"The World Tree... Does a tree that massive really exist?" Lin Wanshuang whispered in awe, her voice barely audible.

Wei Qingzhu chuckled beside her. "Wanshuang, the world is vast and full of wonders. Cultivators can burn the sky and boil the seas. Is it really that strange for a plant to become that powerful?"

"Boss, what happened in the end? What was the result?" Zhou Hu asked, eyes alight with curiosity.

Luo Chuan simply shook his head and offered no reply.

The group groaned internally, dissatisfied but wary of pushing further. No one dared question the boss's elusive temperament too directly.

Still, Luo Chuan felt that leaving a touch of mystery was essential.

If he revealed everything so easily, where was the fun in that?

After a moment, Wei Qingzhu inhaled deeply, composing herself. "Boss, is there anything new in the store?"

It was a question every customer of the Origin Mall wanted to ask. New products were like buried treasure—they could change everything.

Luo Chuan nodded. "Yes."

Wei Qingzhu blinked. "Nothing… Wait—what?"

She had fully expected another routine "no."

But this time, the answer was different.

Everyone froze for a moment, their minds catching up with reality.

"What kind of merchandise is it?" Song Qiuying asked eagerly once she recovered.

"A weapon sales system," Luo Chuan replied. After a brief pause, he added, "All the spirit weapons available in the Tower of Trials' Weapon Mall."

Stunned silence.

Then—gasps echoed through the room.

All the spirit weapons from the Tower of Trials?

That was incredibly generous—even by Luo Chuan's standards.

Even as regular patrons of Origin Mall, none of them dared claim they had seen everything the Weapon Mall had to offer.

"Boss… are you messing with us?" Wei Qingzhu asked, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Luo Chuan's tone remained calm and steady. "When have I ever lied to you?"
