Bang!!!
Tyranitar crossed its arms, enduring Arcanine's combo attack.
However, Tyranitar showed no signs of injury, merely taking three or four steps back, shaking its arms, and acting as if nothing had happened.
Seeing Tyranitar in this state, not only was Tennessee stunned, but so were the onlookers.
Although there were many videos of Aoki's battles online, this was honestly the first time Aoki had showcased Tyranitar's defensive capabilities so openly.
In previous full-scale battles, Tyranitar had mostly served as the core of the lineup, staying in the rear, and rarely charging to the front lines to fight. In those situations, Aggron was usually at the forefront.
While Tyranitar's defensive capabilities weren't as good as Aggron's, they weren't significantly inferior.
Both Pokémon grew up eating diamonds, so one can imagine how much energy and trace elements they absorbed from them.
Later on, they even began to feed on Diancie's pink diamonds. How many Pokémon in this world can eat like them?
So, while others were shocked by Tyranitar's defensive capabilities, Aoki was not surprised at all; this was the defense it should have!
As Tyranitar retreated, Arcanine also landed on the ground due to the recoil from the impact.
"Seeing the opponent's standard, it's our turn to counterattack, Tyranitar, Earthquake!" Aoki said, looking at the equally astonished Arcanine.
Tyranitar slammed its tail hard onto the ground, and after a violent roar, an Earthquake erupted with it at the epicenter.
The entire ground showed varying degrees of cracks, and large rocks rolled beneath the surface, making the ground uneven.
Arcanine was clearly very familiar with the Earthquake move. It pushed off with all four limbs, leaping lightly, its excellent aerial maneuverability allowing it to effectively evade the damage caused by Earthquake.
However, by doing so, it fell into Aoki's trap. How could it evade the next attack while airborne, with no leverage?
Precipice Blades!
Rumble!!
From the cracks in the ground, a massive stone pillar, carrying glowing red rocks, shot skyward, directly targeting Arcanine, which had leaped into the air.
Arcanine only reacted when it saw the stone pillar, but it had no way to dodge.
This was a situation where, even if the opponent knew what Tyranitar was going to do next, there was nothing they could do. Should Arcanine forcefully endure the Earthquake move?
Ground-type moves deal significant damage to Fire-type Pokémon.
Moreover, if the opponent really made that choice, Tyranitar would certainly be even happier to continuously use Earthquake.
Given Arcanine's abilities, there were only two ways to avoid Earthquake: either escape the range of the Earthquake immediately, or leap into the air.
So, this was an inescapable dead end, determined the moment it charged in front of Tyranitar.
Boom!!!
Precipice Blades successfully hit, and the resulting explosion blasted Arcanine higher into the sky, making it even more unable to control its body.
Then it was simple: a continuous barrage of Stone Edge, Rock Slide, and Precipice Blades. An Arcanine not specifically trained would be unable to dodge.
Bang—Bang—Bang—
After a series of attacks, Arcanine fell to the ground, unconscious.
Everyone, including Tennessee, was somewhat disbelieving. The majestic Arcanine, which had seemed capable of contending with Tyranitar, had been defeated just like that.
"Ban!!!"
Tyranitar, having won, naturally let out a triumphant roar. From Aoki's perspective, he could see that Tyranitar's level had increased by one, while in the eyes of others, Tyranitar's aura became stronger and fiercer after defeating Arcanine.
Tennessee still hadn't fully processed what happened after recalling Arcanine.
He knew Aoki's strength was immense. The Black Emissary, who was once the leader of the Second Legion, was much stronger than him, and Aoki's ability to defeat the Black Emissary indicated that Aoki's strength surpassed his own.
However, Tennessee still felt that even if he were to lose, he could at least make Aoki struggle a bit. He had this thought and confidence.
But now, the reality was laid bare before him, forcing him to accept it.
Aoki did not recall Tyranitar, but instead waited for Tennessee to summon another Pokémon.
However, he saw Tennessee walking towards him with a bitter smile.
Understanding his intention, Aoki also recalled Tyranitar.
"Aoki Champion's strength truly impresses me. There's no need to continue fighting; I concede," Tennessee said.
Hearing this, Aoki also said, "Thank you, Legion Commander Tennessee."
He then intended to leave directly, but Tennessee stepped forward again, speaking in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Aoki Champion, you need to be wary of the Second Legion's commander."
Upon hearing his words, Aoki's eyebrows twitched slightly.
A hint of surprise appeared on his face.
It seemed that while the various legions of the Alliance appeared to be a united group, competition existed wherever there were people.
He nodded, indicating that he understood.
Seeing that Aoki understood his hint, the other party left contentedly.
He believed that the video of his battle with Aoki today would soon go viral online, thus achieving his purpose of declaring his stance.
And giving Aoki some tips wouldn't necessarily make his relationship with Aoki too strained.
It could be said that Tennessee was truly adept at handling people, showing friendliness to both the Alliance military and the general Alliance public represented by Aoki.
Although his strength wasn't very high, his ability to handle people was excellent.
Aoki also had a slight understanding of the Second Legion.
The Black Emissary was once the commander of the Second Legion, deeply loved by its members, and it was said that his deputy and many officers within the legion were personally promoted by him.
Now that his identity had been exposed, in order to quickly stabilize the Second Legion, the Alliance did not dismiss all of these officers.
They conducted some investigations on them, and after confirming their identities were not problematic, they kept them. The current commander was also temporarily acting as the former deputy commander.
Presumably, he harbored a deep resentment towards Aoki for defeating their former commander.
While the Black Emissary indeed had identity issues, it wasn't easy for them to let go.
And coincidentally, among the Alliance legions stationed within Silver Mountain during this period, the Second Legion was present; it was their turn.
So, this Tennessee was truly a fence-sitter, offending neither side and expressing his attitude to both.
However, Aoki wasn't very concerned about this Second Legion.
Even the Black Emissary, their commander, had been defeated by him, and his current strength had significantly improved since then.
He now possessed at least two Champion-level Pokémon, Darkrai and Gengar, and Tyranitar had reached the peak of pseudo-Champion status, capable of reaching Champion-level strength with Mega Evolution.
If they dared to come looking for trouble, he would let them know the disparity in strength!
