Until late at night, the two walked on the street, chatting casually about recent events.
Most of what Jiang Nian talked about was work-related, occasionally sprinkled with updates on their former classmates.
"Old Liu has gained a lot of face now, I heard he's about to become a director, and he's got quite the gift of gab now."
Upon hearing this, Li Qingrong's lips curved into a smile.
"Did you go back to school?"
"Yeah, to see Old Liu," Jiang Nian said. "I asked him if he remembered you, and he actually said he didn't."
"If you ask me, Old Liu has forgotten his roots."
Li Qingrong listened to Jiang Nian's outrageous "ququ," yet the smile on her lips never faded.
"Who else did you see?"
"Who?" Jiang Nian's eyelid twitched slightly.
"Didn't visit the biology teacher?" Li Qingrong glanced at him, "Weren't you two quite close?"
"Unfortunately, I lost contact," Jiang Nian puffed out his chest, speaking honestly, "It's summer vacation, and the person isn't here."
