Chapter 30 - life lessons

Inside a hotel room a 2 figure could be seen sitting on a table.

The first was a women who was in her mid to late 20's. Her light blonde hair was short. Her body was slim but still possessed curves. She wore a simple sports bra and sweat pants. As she looked at her partner with her light blonde eyes.

He was a man in his fifties, he had deep blue eyes with black hair with patches that were turning white. His body was large with a well defined build. He wore black shorts and a wife-beater. He held a Bible in his hands while silently reciting scriptures.

"Are you going to keep acting like nothings wrong?" She asked with a hint of anger in her tone.

The man stopped and looked at her. "May I ask why your so angry?" The man asked before returning to his reading.

You let the leeches go, and you want to act like I'm over exaggerating?! She slammed her hands in the table and a small amount of divine energy seeped out of her.

The man closed his book and looked at her with a calm gaze. There was no hate, malice, or anger.

Just a calm understanding." look,I understanding your upset but you don't understand if we fought him we'd have died there and then"

She looked at him in confusion. "What are you talking about? We had them cornered-"

"Than what was your answer for Sebastian Clockwork, hmmm? He questioned. "Cause unlike you, who's never encountered an elder let-alone an ancient vampire i have especially him." Father Mikhail said as he poured himself and Alexia some tea.

"Sebastian Clockwork is kne of the strongest vampire to date and it's said he was turned by Dracula himself! He exclaimed.

Mikhail placed the tea cups on the table next to Alexia and took a sip from his and continued. "When I was a young lad I was sent on my first mission with my father, on that mission we had a team of elite priests, knights and mages. But they were... killed by that man and it was my first true experience with death."

Alexia sat in silence with a hurt expression on her face." I'm-"

"I didn't tell you this to feel sorry for me, I told you to help you understand that while we maybe blessed by the divine we are mortal, and being arrogant won't help especially with beings that could kill us in a blink of an eye."

Alexia let her head hang low as she answered."Yes father."

Inside Lazarus soul world.

Lazarus lay on the ground his body soar all over from his training session with Dakarai and learning how to use the Chrono-watch ability.

From what he understood from the ability. He could create an dome where he could control the flow of time.

He first had to visualize a pocket watch, than click the nub, and finally he could choose whether to rewind, fastword or stall time in the dome.

He could also use it to speed himself up unlike when he uses the lightning his body will be okay. Since he hasn't fully mastered it unlike Cass it's her natural ability so her body is accustomed to using it. But Lazarus is different as he drank some of her blood his body isn't accustom to hers, resulting in pain especially after using it.

But if he learns to use both he'd be able to move faster than most and be able to annihilate most before they realized it.

Lazarus got up and dusted himself off. As he was doing so a sudden thought came to mind.

"Hay Dakarai."

"Hmmm."

"Would my mom even believe me if I told her I was her son?" His question was followed by a deafening silence.

Dakarai stood up from his sitting position. "Well even i don't know the answer to that question. Mainly because their are multiple factors that could play-out."

"Like what?" He questioned.

"Well since we are a being who's blood is both blessed and cursed were are out of sync with both angels and vampires. It's one of the main reasons why they could never actually locate us."

But I believe she'll probably recognize you. Mainly due to the facts of what mother wouldn't recognize her child, and the fact you technically look like the perfect blend of what a child between them would look like."

As he finish Lazarus smiled at his words. "Thanks for that it's just I'm kinda scared of rejection. Since your technically me you should know one of my dreams was to find my family and i-." As he was about to finish his vision became foggy and he collapsed on the floor.

When he opened his eyes he was looking at an unfamiliar yet familiar roof. He got up from the bed and got to his feet, but as he did he realized his body why having healed also seemed much stronger than before. As he could sense others insides the manner and how strong they were.

'Well I'll be damned! It's like drinking 5 energy drinks without the worry of a burnouts.' He thought

He also could detect Cassandra, Lason Ksenia and the vampire who helped them escape in a roof in somesort of study.

He closed his eyes and sank into the shadows.

20 minutes before Lazarus woke up.

Sebastian was reading the document about Lazarus. Which matched with everything he knew.

Name: Lazarus Thomas.

Birthday: 19 may.

Year of birth: 2579.

Sebastian rubbed his chin in contemplation on how to address the things in his mind. As he asked a question. "May I asked how long have you know young Lazarus?" His eyes turned to Cass and Lason.

"A couple of years on probably since we were in our eary teens." Lason answered hesitantly.

"Hmm, and has he shown any strange abilities before becoming a vampire?" Sebastian questioned.

"..not really outside of him being weirdly skilled in martial arts, nothing much." Cass answered.

Sebastian still wasn't fully convinced but before he could ask more questions he felt something was off.

As turned his head to the side, as the the shadows began to spread throughout the room. Which blocked out the lights, Ksenia, Lason and Cassandra lit their bodies with their flames ready to attack.

"Woah, woah, woah! Chill okay! It's me!" They heard a familiar voice and the shadows began to fade and a being rose from the shadows.
