His voice trembled slightly, yet it was filled with deep anticipation.
"The smell of sunlight… It's been a long time since I experienced it!"
The voice was hoarse, excited.
In the next second, an enormous repulsive force burst forth, violently surging out from the figure's right hand. The sturdy prison cage instantly let out a strained screech before being blasted away. The originally airtight cage was torn apart by Rojen in that moment, shattering completely.
"Da! Da! Da!"
Footsteps echoed as Rojen stepped out of the cage with a cold smile on his lips.
He spread his arms slightly, and the shackles on his wrists clattered loudly.
But in the next moment, Rojen lowered his head. A mysterious power surged out, and the handcuffs and shackles made of Seastone were strangely absorbed and disappeared.
This scene shocked and excited all the criminals imprisoned in the Sixth Level.
"Kid, save me! Hurry and save me!"
"Last time we made a deal, I gave you one of my martial arts techniques! This time, if you save me, I'll have you as my master!"
"We had an agreement, Rojen! Get me out of here!"
They grew excited, some threatening, some tempting, trying to persuade Rojen to release them all. Someone even shouted something that caused Rojen, who had been looking down, to slowly raise his head.
"Kid, release all of us! With our strength, we can carve a bloody path and fight our way out!"
But when some of them saw Rojen's lifted eyes clearly, a wave of gasps spread.
"This kid!?"
"What's wrong with his eyes?!"
In those eyes there was only numbness and cold indifference. Layer upon layer of deep ripple-like patterns filled them, as if revealing the most mysterious and profound truths of the world, sending chills down one's spine. Anyone stared at by those eyes felt as though they were being watched by God.
"Save you?"
A sneer appeared at the corner of Rojen's mouth as his right hand suddenly stretched forward.
"Boom!"
A terrifying repulsive force erupted. The man who had been lying against the cage was instantly blasted away, smashing violently into the wall behind him. The impact nearly shattered his bones. He spat out a mouthful of blood, slid down slowly, and lost all signs of life.
"Hiss…!"
The sound of people inhaling sharply echoed.
At that moment, all the prisoners of the Sixth Level finally understood why someone so young had been thrown into this place.
He was simply a devil.
"Only a limited number of people have the chance to be taken out by me, and even then, they will be taken out as corpses."
Coldness, and even a trace of cruelty, appeared in Rojen's eyes as he swept his gaze across all the prisoners present, as though searching for something. Those who were stared at by those eyes felt their hearts tighten and subconsciously took a step back.
"Then it'll be the six of you."
Grinning, Rojen stepped forward.
The cages that were impossible for the prisoners to cross had no effect on him at all. Even with the bars between them, the six people he had fixed his gaze upon all died instantly.
Even more bizarre was that the six dead bodies slowly twisted and rotated under the gaze of his eyes before gradually disappearing.
"Hurry! Hurry! Someone is escaping!!"
"Quickly notify the Warden! Request reinforcements!"
"The identity of the escapee has been confirmed… target: Gol D. Rojen!"
"Strength: Admiral-level!"
When the jailers confirmed the identity of the escapee, all of them were shocked and their hearts skipping a beat.
"The reaction is really quite fast."
Ignoring the shock of the other prisoners present, Rojen's lips curved slightly as he walked toward the direction the footsteps were coming from.
"Kid, get me out of here, and I'll help you hold back their strongest fighters!"
Among the prisoners, who had fallen silent after being intimidated by Rojen's domineering and cruel behavior, a hoarse, elderly voice suddenly rang out.
"Stand where you are! Move another step and we'll open fire!"
The tense shouts of the jailers rang out.
Rojen tilted his head and looked toward the source of the aged voice, discovering that it was No. 8. At the same time, he stretched out his right hand, aiming at the approaching jailers.
"Xiu Xiu Xiu Xiu—"
Pitch-black metal rods suddenly shot out from his right hand. In the blink of an eye, they struck all the jailers rushing toward him, piercing straight through their bodies.
Blood splattered everywhere.
The arriving jailers instantly became a pile of corpses on the ground.
"Oh?"
Rojen raised his eyebrow slightly and began to think.
Three breaths later, he raised his hand again and aimed at the lock of the prison cage. As gravity operated once more, the door suddenly swung open.
"Good! Kid, I'll definitely keep my promise!"
No. 8 abruptly stood up with excitement flashing in his eyes. Shackles still bound his feet, clattering loudly as he walked, but he didn't care in the slightest.
"Let's go to the Warden's office, the weapons are all there!" No. 8's aged voice echoed.
Rojen nodded and stepped forward.
As they advanced, reinforcements of jailers continuously arrived. Yet before Rojen, none of them could withstand even a single move. His forward speed didn't slow down in the slightest.
"This kid's power is strange. It doesn't look like any normal ability… it feels more like a ninja's technique?"
Behind him, No. 8's eyes flickered.
He had lived for a long time and had seen many things. From subtle clues, he had already guessed parts of Rojen's abilities.
Soon, the two arrived at the Warden's office.
At a single glance, Rojen saw his Seven Stars. With a slight tremor of his right hand, the weapon instantly returned to his grasp.
At the same time, the old man had already taken his own long blade from the weapon rack.
It was a sword with an extremely thin and narrow edge, completely black from hilt to tip. Even under the light, it gave off no reflection.
"Good blade!" Rojen praised.
"A legacy of the One Energy Channel." No. 8 sighed softly and said nothing more.
"Time to leave." Rojen spoke.
Immediately afterward, the two quickly stepped into the elevator. With a rumbling sound, the elevator began moving, slowly rising upward.
At the stair entrance of the Fifth Level - the Extreme Cold Hell, groups of jailers held rifles and cannons, all aimed at the staircase. Their faces were tense as they repeatedly swallowed nervously.
After all, the one coming was someone with combat power comparable to an Admiral. They had no confidence at all.
"Weng weng weng…"
"They're coming!"
A faint sound came from the staircase, and someone shouted in a low voice, causing every jailer's finger to tighten on the trigger.
"Boom!"
The staircase trembled as the doors split open to both sides.
"They'll set up an ambush at the stair entrance. Be ready, kid!"
No. 8 said in a deep voice, his right hand gripping the long sword at his waist.
Rojen merely nodded. His ripple-patterned eyes remained cold and emotionless.
Finally, the elevator trembled and came to a stop. The doors opened wide.
At that exact moment, Rojen suddenly raised his right hand.
"Feel pain, mortals!"
"Attack!"
A loud shout came from outside. In an instant, countless guns and cannons fired, the flashes of flame covering everything.
"Shinra Tensei!"
With a thunderous boom, a terrifying, repulsive force burst out from Rojen's right hand. Like a cannon shell, it slammed violently into the crowd.
The incoming artillery shells were struck by the repulsive force as well, exploding in midair in an instant.
"Ahhhhh!"
"Help!"
"What is this?! What is this?!"
A massive gouge was carved across the ground, extending straight into the crowd, causing the jailers to scream in terror.
