As though it were simply a reflex, Alric, seeing Silas coughing, immediately stood and held out a handkerchief to him, which Silas quickly took as he tried to wipe away the droplets that had gotten onto his face and clothes. Silas also didn't notice that Alric had walked back toward him carrying a glass and a cloth belonging to Silas.
It was amazing how quick the man was to react, and Silas felt incredibly embarrassed because he had just been thinking inappropriate thoughts about someone who only saw him as a friend despite the fact that they were already married.
Besides, Silas should have known better than to get his hopes up when Alric didn't like omegas in the first place.
The reason they were married was because Alric simply needed pheromone therapy, and the only dominant omega with purple eyes in the Lichtberg Empire was him; if he hadn't been a dominant omega, he would never even have had the opportunity to interact with this man.
