> "My god, even their heads can grow back. Isn't this basically dark magic?!"
> "Begone, evil spirits!"
> "How are they supposed to fight this? They come back even after dying. Doesn't that make them impossible to kill?"
> "With an ability like this, no matter how strong Champion Walker is, he'll eventually get exhausted to death, right?"
> "How is this even possible? And those Pokémon all have pitch-black eyes. It's creepy as hell."
> "Did anyone notice? That revived Hydreigon seemed way stronger than before."
> "I thought it was just my imagination, but it really is true!"
---
As the battle between Julian and Organization Y officially began, the oppressive gloom hanging over the hearts of the Drakorian citizens had briefly vanished when Kartana instantly killed that Hydreigon with a single slash.
But once the dead Hydreigon revived—and even regrew all three of its heads back—that sense of dread immediately returned, and became even heavier.
After all, resurrection was simply too bizarre. It almost felt mythical.
And the terrifying part was that this ability belonged to the enemy. How could they not panic?
Even the citizens of other nations felt chills down their spines after witnessing it. Originally, many people had hoped that Organization Y would kill Julian.
After all, Julian possessed multiple First-class Legendaries and held absolute overwhelming power.
But now, after seeing the Master command thirty Champion-level Pokémon that could resurrect after death—if Julian were truly killed by her, then even without First-class Legendaries, the power she had already displayed would be enough to sweep across every nation on the planet.
Not to mention the so-called "Demon God" she kept talking about.
The leaders of every nation were not idiots. The "Godless Barrier," along with this resurrection ability, was most likely the work of that Demon God.
And the only person capable of stopping all of this—was Julian.
So if Julian really died, then they would become the next targets. And at that point, wouldn't they just basically be waiting for death?
Compared to a world ruled by the evil, chaotic, and terrifying Organization Y, most people would rather let Julian remain dominant.
Even though Drakoria had now become frighteningly powerful due to Julian's influence, it still hadn't done anything excessively outrageous.
At most, it had merely turned Wyvernia and Babath into its own backyard.
And even those incidents had not been initiated by Drakoria—Wyvernia had essentially brought the disaster upon itself, while Babath's situation had been caused by Yveltal.
As for Julian himself, there was even less to say.
As the world's number one trainer, and holding several First-class Legendaries in his hands, this guy should have been terrifyingly overbearing—yet he was actually a total shut-in.
Aside from exploring Secret Realms, he spent almost all of his time staying at home.
His danger level was honestly even lower than that of an average Champion.
"Support him—immediately send reinforcements to assist Julian!"
The Emperor of Volkaria stood up and waved his hand decisively, dispatching two of the nation's Champions.
Originally, their country had only possessed three Champions.
But after the appearance of the Primal Secret Realm, they had taken an enormous gamble, sending all three Champions along with ten peak Pseudo-Champions inside.
And when they emerged—they had become five Champions.
Although they had lost three peak Pseudo-Champions, they had gained two brand-new Champions in return.
Moreover, the original three Champions had all become significantly stronger.
It had been an enormous gamble, and an equally enormous profit.
Even though Volkaria now possessed five Champions in total, sending two to support Julian was still taking a considerable risk.
After Volkaria dispatched support, every nation with more than two Champions also sent at least one.
Even Celestria sent two Champions.
"Hmph, at least they still understand the bigger picture."
Inside the conference room, after learning that countries around the world had collectively sent twenty Champions to reinforce Julian—and that, combined with Drakoria's four, made twenty-four total—James finally relaxed a little.
His previously stern expression eased somewhat.
"Go investigate which countries have more than two Champions remaining inside their borders—and whose Champions are not inside Secret Realms—but still refused to send support for Champion Walker."
The Second Elder instructed a nearby staff member, who immediately nodded and left.
If some countries still refused to send reinforcements, then they clearly harbored strong hostility toward Drakoria and lacked all sense of the greater situation.
Even nations openly opposed to Drakoria, like Celestria, had dispatched two Champions.
So if some country possessed more than two Champions who were currently available and still refused to help—then there was definitely something wrong with them.
"Report—based on our analysis, those Pokémon that revive after death all receive a significant boost in strength."
"Early-stage Champions can reach mid-stage, mid-stage Champions can become late-stage, and even peak Champions see a certain degree of enhancement."
Even ordinary citizens had noticed that the revived Pokémon were stronger, so there was no way they wouldn't have noticed. So they had someone carry out an analysis.
"The amplification is even greater than we originally expected."
The Third Elder looked worriedly at Julian on the screen. "I wonder whether Champion Walker can hold out until reinforcements from us and the other countries arrive."
"If only there were a way to break that Godless Barrier—then dealing with those Pokémon would be a piece of cake," said the Fifth Elder.
Once the Godless Barrier was broken, Julian's Reshiram and Zekrom would immediately be freed.
"Have the analysts still not figured out this barrier's weakness yet?" the Sixth Elder asked urgently.
Originally, the Godless Barrier had been invisible, but as the battle inside intensified and waves of energy continuously spread outward, the barrier had gradually become faintly visible.
It resembled an enormous upside-down bowl, covering an area of roughly twenty thousand square kilometers—the range it enveloped was really massive.
"There are no results yet," the staff member shook his head.
At present, they could only analyze the phenomenon through satellites, and there were no personnel or instruments at the scene.
Under such circumstances, whether they could even figure anything out was a question in itself.
"Should we try launching thermal weapons and see if they can break it?" said Brandon, the top military leader.
"These weapons are too easy for Pokémon to intercept. Besides, Deoxys already attempted to destroy the barrier earlier and failed."
Previously, Deoxys had switched into Speed Forme, temporarily shaking off Darkrai, and then attacking the barrier in Attack Forme.
Yet even then, it still couldn't break through.
That alone proved the barrier's defensive power was astonishing—at least, an early-stage First-class Legendary's attack could not break it.
"This Godless Barrier probably cannot exist indefinitely," someone analyzed. "Maintaining a barrier of this scale must consume an enormous amount of energy."
"Once reinforcements from the various countries arrive, we'll have them attack the barrier from the outside while Champion Walker simultaneously wears it down from within—that should accelerate the depletion of the barrier's power."
"How's the domestic situation right now? Have there been any major disturbances?"
"None so far. Other than worrying about Champion Walker, everything remains stable."
"Though several places in the western countries have already started another wave of 'zero-dollar shopping.'"
No one found that surprising. That sort of thing happened frequently in those western nations all the time.
Now that Organization Y had caused such chaos—even though Julian was the main target—people still had plenty of excuses to start looting again.
