Chapter 38 - 38

The drive back to the hotel was quiet, but Nagaraju's mind was far from calm. The city lights moved past the car window in blurred streaks, yet his focus remained fixed on the decision he had just made.

For someone else, investing such a huge amount into a film project might have looked reckless. The film industry was unpredictable. A single Friday could turn years of effort into either celebration or disaster. Many producers had lost fortunes trying to chase success blindly.

But Nagaraju's situation was different.

This had not started as a simple curiosity toward films in this life.

The confidence behind his decision came from something far deeper—his memories from the past life.

That very project… the same story, the same director, and even the same star combination… had become a massive blockbuster in his previous life timeline. He still remembered how people spoke about the film everywhere after its release. The songs had become popular before the movie itself released, theaters had run houseful for weeks, and the collections had shocked the entire industry.

Back then, he had only been an ordinary viewer watching the success from outside.

Now, fate had strangely placed him close enough to become part of it.

That alone changed everything.

As the car slowed near a signal, Nagaraju leaned back and closed his eyes briefly. He mentally reconstructed whatever he remembered from his past life about the project. The film had not merely recovered its budget—it had multiplied profits several times over. Distributors had earned heavily, satellite rights had exploded in value, and even small investors attached to the project had become rich almost overnight.

If he managed to secure a strong investment position early now, the profits waiting in the future would be enormous.

Crores.

Not lakhs.

Crores.

That was the real reason he had shown immediate interest.

Of course, he could not reveal the truth to anyone. To the outside world, he simply looked like a young investor with sharp instincts and growing confidence after one successful project. Nobody could imagine that the real foundation of his confidence came from memories no ordinary person should possess.

Even the director probably believed Nagaraju had agreed because he liked the script.

That was only half the truth.

The greater reason was certainty.

Not complete certainty—because he knew timelines could still change—but enough certainty to take the risk confidently.

By the time he returned to the hotel, it was already late evening. The lobby was calmer now, with only a few guests moving around. Nagaraju walked toward the elevator quietly, his expression unreadable. Once inside his room, he loosened his watch and sat down near the table without turning on the television. And closed his eyes to take rest but started to think about film. while thinking.

If he protected the production from unnecessary risks and ensured smooth financing, the chances of the film reaching its original blockbuster potential would remain high. In that case, the returns would completely transform his financial position.

His earlier successful investment had already increased his capital considerably.

But this project…

This project could elevate him into another league entirely.

The thought alone made his heartbeat slightly faster.

Not because of greed alone, but because he could finally see a path forming ahead of him. Until now, his life after reincarnation had felt uncertain, almost experimental. He had been testing opportunities carefully, step by step.

But films were different.

Here, his knowledge from the future had actual value.

And if used correctly, it could create enormous wealth before anyone even understood what he was doing.

Nagaraju stood up and walked toward the window again. The city below was still alive despite the late hour. Somewhere out there, thousands of people were struggling to enter the film industry, dreaming of success that only a handful would ever touch.

Yet he had something most of them didn't.

Information.

Timing.

And now… capital.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

This was only the beginning.

The profits from this project alone could fund multiple future ventures. If he continued selecting the right films using memories from his previous life, he could slowly build a powerful financial network inside the industry itself.

Not as an actor.

Not as a celebrity.

But as someone influential behind the scenes.

Someone producers would approach during difficult times.

Someone directors trusted.

Someone who entered projects early and exited with massive profits.

And the best part was that nobody would suspect the real reason behind his accuracy.

To them, Nagaraju would simply appear unusually intelligent and lucky.

The phone on the table suddenly vibrated, pulling him out of his thoughts.

It was a message from the director.

"Glad we're working together. Tomorrow we'll discuss initial planning with the team."

Nagaraju read the message once before replying briefly.

"Looking forward to it."
