"Myra, how are you doing?" Dion asked, reaching out to her. He tried to sound cool and calm, but he instead came off a bit too sentimental. Fortunately, he said it softly so nobody apart from Myra heard it.
After William's call, Nora had relayed his words to all her brothers and told them not to visit Myra for the time being. Though everyone was opposed to the decision, they couldn't do anything as it was a decision made by their mate's parents and for the betterment of Myra. So, eventually, they all gave in.
Dion was getting updates about Myra's condition from Wendy when he went to hold a class, and Nora, who called William on a regular basis.
But getting verbal news was nowhere near seeing her in person.
Myra, for the first time in what felt like ages to him, didn't give him any death stare or frown or a blank look; instead, she smiled at him, a genuine smile and said, "Much better."
