(Author's POV)
"Wait for me. I will just park the car and come back. Don't go without me," William said to Myra. She nodded and stepped out. There was a separate parking space just around the corner for all the housing people, so William dropped Myra at their house's gate.
As she saw the car disappearing down the road, her eyes darted to the bright sunrays, reaching her face. Being cooped up and restricted to a hospital bed for a whole week was really debilitating and exhausting. "This feels rejuvenating," Myra murmured as a cool breeze tingled her skin. After the horrific incident, every breath, the sun, the wind, every single moment felt like a blessing to her.
She was lost in thought when a sudden voice pulled her out of her thoughts, "Myra~ … you are back?"
Myra flinched, startled, hearing the sudden interruption. Her hands clenched on the side unconsciously as she turned her head around to see Riya Johnson, Prof. Zachary Johnson's wife. She relaxed and smiled, "Yeah, ma'am."
