"My~ Myra, are you feeling okay?" Sandra inquired, etching with concern, her voice choking a little.
Myra nestled her head in the crook of her mother's neck as she murmured, "I am~ … fine." Although she said this, her vision blurred from unshed tears. She hid her face so that no one could see her moist eyes. After spending a few seconds in Sandra's warm and loving embrace, she pulled away. By now, her nerves had settled. Or you could say, she forced herself to feel fine.
She didn't want to worry anyone, nor did she want their effort to go down the drain. Everyone had suffered a lot for the past few days. So, after retracting away, she smiled, the brightest she could and said, "I just got a little startled, that's all. You don't need to worry."
