(Author's POV)
"Where is Wendy? Why hasn't she come down yet?" William questioned, glancing towards the stairs.
"She has gone to her room to change her clothes," Yelena answered.
William sighed exhaustively and then commented, "Again~ …. hahh. This girl~ …. *sigh* They all must be here any minute, and she is~ …."
"Honey, let her be. She will come down when she's ready," Sandra spoke, keeping a comforting hand on his shoulder. William nodded, pinching his nose bridge.
"Uncle Will, why do you seem so nervous?" Yelena asked. "It is just a dinner with Nora's family, after all. They were all present last night as well."
"Yelena, dear, yesterday was different. The celebration was for Myra's homecoming. And we weren't expecting Mrs. Everests to visit at all. But today, we have formally invited them to have dinner with us. We don't want to be seen as lacking," Sandra explained patiently. Yelena hummed as the sound of the doorbell echoed in the living room.
