A full minute passed as everyone opened their eyes. Breaking the impending silence, Chris finally spoke, "Thank you. Now, we will begin the funeral procession." As soon as he finished, two members of the keeper's unit came and unlocked the coffin lid. Jacob stood to the side as everyone present formed a line and, one by one, offered carnations to the deceased and words of condolence to his only family, Jacob.
The first ones to step up were the four vampire elders.
