Chapter 1161 - Chapter 1091 Ayumi Questions.

Saturday 10 October 2000.

Zaboru was now inside his home at the Renkonan family residence, quietly enjoying a rare moment of rest during the weekend. It wasn't often that he allowed himself to slow down like this, as most of his days were filled with work, meetings, and constant planning for ZAGE's future. The calm atmosphere felt comforting.

Today, the house was even quieter than usual. His mother and father had gone out on a date, celebrating their wedding anniversary which had passed not long ago. Meanwhile, Sanika was also out, spending time with her boyfriend, leaving the entire house unusually empty.

For once, the large Renkonan home, usually filled with activity, voices, and movement, felt peaceful. It was just Zaboru and his small family left inside, creating a rare and intimate moment where everything slowed down, allowing him to truly enjoy the warmth of home without any distractions.

Zenshin was now already 3 years old, and at the moment he was sitting in front of the piano, his small hands moving across the keys with surprising confidence. Despite his age, he had already learned how to play the guitar flawlessly, something that still amazed everyone around him, and recently he seemed to have developed a strong interest in the piano as well. What made it even more unbelievable was how naturally he adapted to it, as if the instrument was something he had known for years rather than something he had just started learning.

His expression was calm and focused, completely absorbed in the sound he was creating. The melody he played wasn't random either, it was structured, clean, and carried emotion, something that shouldn't be possible for a child his age. Even more shocking, Zenshin was able to replicate soundtracks from games after hearing them just once, remembering the notes and rhythm almost perfectly as if his mind could capture and replay music effortlessly.

Meanwhile, Ayumi was in the kitchen preparing food, moving calmly as she handled everything with ease, the quiet clatter of utensils filling the otherwise peaceful house. From time to time she glanced outside, making sure everything was fine.

Out in the backyard, Arumi was playing happily with her rabbits, running around in small circles as the animals followed her movements. But it wasn't just the rabbits she was interacting with, it looked like she was playing with someone else as well, someone invisible to normal eyes.

"Uncle Ghost! You're so cool, you can fly around!" Arumi said excitedly, her eyes sparkling as she looked upward.

And yes, Arumi could somehow see Zaborn, Zaboru's ghost partner. Zaboru himself still didn't fully understand how or why, but it had already become something he quietly accepted.

Zaborn laughed lightly, floating around her. "Of course, Rumi. Hehehe… it's too bad I can't lift you. If I could, I'd take you flying across the sky. It's really fun, you know."

Arumi giggled, trying to jump as if she could reach him, her laughter blending with the soft rustling of the garden.

Zaborn, however, felt something more complicated inside.

Looking at her… this child… she was technically his as well. A fragment of the original Zaboru's soul, yet at the same time separate. The connection was there, but also not. It created a strange feeling he couldn't easily describe.

Still, in this moment, he chose to simply interact with her as she saw him. Not as something complex or distant… but just as her "Uncle Ghost."

Zaboru, meanwhile, was standing nearby in the park area of the house, quietly watching his daughter play with Zaborn and the rabbits. He didn't interrupt, simply observing with a faint smile as Arumi ran around happily, her laughter echoing softly in the calm afternoon air. It was a simple scene, yet one he rarely had the chance to fully enjoy.

For a moment, he just stood there, hands in his pockets, letting himself relax as he watched her carefree movements.

Then, not long after, Ayumi's voice came from inside the house. "Everyone, dinner's ready!"

Zaboru's smile widened slightly before he called out, "Rumi-chan, let's go. Dinner's ready."

Arumi turned immediately, her face lighting up. "Yay!" she said excitedly, before quickly turning back to her rabbits, gently guiding them back into their cage as if she understood responsibility just as much as play.

Zaborn floated quietly beside her for a moment, watching, before his expression softened. Then, without making a big scene, he slowly drifted back into Zaboru's Emulator Mind.

Just before fully disappearing, he spoke calmly, "Zabo… I want to talk later. Please come."

Zaboru blinked slightly, caught off guard by the tone. It wasn't playful like usual.

"…Alright. Later," he replied quietly.

Even as he followed Arumi back inside, a small part of his mind lingered on those words, sensing that whatever Zaborn wanted to talk about… might not be something trivial.

After that, Zaboru brought Zenshin over to the dining table, and the family began to eat together. As expected, Zenshin ate enthusiastically, clearly enjoying every bite, and Arumi was no different, happily eating while occasionally talking about her day. And Zaboru? Well, he ate quite a lot, as usual.

Ayumi chuckled softly as she watched them. "Their appetite really takes after you, Zabo…"

Zaboru let out a small laugh. "Hehehe… that's not a bad thing."

The atmosphere around the table felt warm and relaxed, filled with quiet conversations and small laughter. It wasn't anything grand, but moments like this were rare for Zaboru, and he found himself appreciating it more than usual.

After dinner, the kids began to show signs of fatigue. Zenshin rubbed his eyes while Arumi yawned, their energy finally running out after a full day of playing. Without much fuss, both of them headed to the bedroom together, climbing onto the bed and quickly falling asleep side by side.

Meanwhile, Zaboru was left alone with Ayumi. The house became quiet again, almost instantly.

He gently pulled her closer, holding her in his arms as he rested against the couch. His hand moved softly through her hair, slowly caressing her head in a calm and affectionate manner.

Ayumi relaxed into his embrace, letting out a soft breath as she leaned closer to him, enjoying the rare peaceful moment they had together.

"Heh… it's really rare for just the two of us to be alone like this, right, Ayumi?"

Ayumi smiled softly and rested her cheek against Zaboru's neck, her warmth lingering as she closed her eyes for a moment. "Hehehe… I really missed this…" she whispered.

She gently kissed his cheek, then his lips, slow and affectionate, before pulling back with a soft smile. Zaboru returned the smile, his hand instinctively brushing her hair.

Then Ayumi spoke again, her tone a little quieter. "If only I could do this with you every day…"

Zaboru let out a small sigh, though there was no real frustration in it. "That's why you should just come work at ZAGE. I could make you my 'Special Secretary,' you know. You can still be a game dev there too."

Ayumi chuckled, amused by how casually he said it. "Hehehe… sneaky, aren't we? Like I said, I'd love to work at ZAGE, but working at Akaishidan with my Nii-sama is really fun, Zabo. And they need me… I think I'm already attached to them as their lead dev there."

Zaboru sighed again, this time a little more exaggerated, though there was a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Heh… fine then."

Ayumi giggled softly, clearly enjoying his reaction far more than she should. "Aww… Zabo is pouting… so cute."

Zaboru turned his face away slightly, trying to act annoyed, but the warmth in his expression betrayed him almost instantly.

Ayumi leaned in closer, her voice playful. "Hehe… if you're going to act tough, at least don't grin like that," she teased, her eyes watching him carefully.

Zaboru let out a quiet laugh, unable to keep up the act any longer, and gently pulled her closer into his arms. The small distance between them disappeared as Ayumi naturally leaned into him again, their movements slow and familiar.

She pressed another soft kiss against his lips, this time lingering just a little longer, as if savoring the moment before finally pulling away.

For a brief second, everything felt still, calm, and intimate, the kind of silence that only existed between two people who understood each other deeply.

Then, her expression shifted slightly, the playful tone fading just a little as something more thoughtful appeared in her eyes before she spoke again.

"Say, Zabo… do you have some kind of unique ability…? Like something supernatural?"

Zaboru blinked, clearly surprised by the sudden question. "Huh? Why all of a sudden?"

Ayumi let out a small chuckle, but her eyes remained thoughtful. "Well… to be fair, I've been thinking about it for a while now. Both of our children are… extraordinary."

She shifted slightly in his arms, her voice calm but certain. "You've seen Zenshin, right? He's a genius. He can already play guitar flawlessly, and he's only three years old. He even beat me in Tekken… and you know I'm not bad at it, even if I'm nowhere near your level. And now he's learning piano like it's nothing."

Ayumi smiled softly, but there was a hint of amazement in her expression. "It's not normal, Zabo… not even close."

She paused briefly before continuing. "And then there's Arumi… sometimes I see her talking to the air like someone is there. At first, I thought it was just a child's imagination… but then I noticed something else."

Her gaze turned slightly serious. "She can… command the rabbits. Not forcefully, but they listen to her. They follow what she says like they understand her."

Ayumi looked back at him, her smile returning, but now mixed with curiosity. "So I started wondering… if something like that is possible… then maybe…"

She gently poked his chest. "Maybe their father isn't exactly normal either inheritted this from you"

"Honestly… this isn't the first time I've seen something like this," Ayumi said softly, her voice turning more serious than before. "My Nii-sama is extraordinary too. I don't know if it's some kind of super intuition or if he's just that smart… but the way he predicts things… it's not normal. It's like he already knows what's going to happen before it even does."

She paused for a moment, her eyes drifting slightly as she recalled an old memory.

"When I was still a child… I saw something strange. There was this old man… he looked completely normal, just an ordinary old man. But then he walked near an electricity facility… and somehow…" she hesitated slightly, as if even now it sounded unbelievable, "…he was controlling it. The electricity… it responded to him. And it felt like he was… talking to it."

Ayumi let out a small breath.

"Since then, I've believed that supernatural things exist in this world. They're just… rare. Very rare."

Her gaze returned to Zaboru, softer now, but filled with quiet curiosity.

"But when I'm with you…" she continued, leaning a little closer, "I feel different. More energized. More focused. Sometimes… it even feels like I'm thinking clearer than usual… like I'm becoming a little smarter just by being near you."

She studied his face carefully, as if trying to confirm something she had long suspected.

"…Are those your powers, Zabo?"

Ayumi continued, her voice softer but more certain now. "And what about the fact that you only need two hours of rest… and you're always in perfect condition physically? That's not normal either, right?"

There was no accusation in her tone, only quiet curiosity.

Zaboru fell silent for a moment.

She noticed… more than I thought.

It wasn't just a guess anymore. Ayumi had been observing him carefully this whole time.

There really are people like this in this world too… that old man she mentioned… and Father weird power and not to mention Mr.disney hell even i have ghost friend…

Zaboru's thoughts paused slightly.

Should I tell her…? About being a reincarnator…?

For a brief second, he considered it seriously. But then he slowly shook his head internally.

Not yet… it's still too early.

He exhaled quietly, then looked back at her with a small, honest smile, though part of it was still a carefully controlled answer.

"Honestly… yeah, Ayumi," he said calmly. "I do have something like that."

He shifted slightly, choosing his words carefully. "At some point, I realized I had… abilities I couldn't really explain. It's like I just know certain things instinctively, and somehow… it helps the people around me."

He looked at her gently. "Especially people I care about… or the people I work with. Their learning improves when they're around me… especially if I'm the one guiding them."

Zaboru let out a small breath. "I don't really understand how it works though. And… yeah, the two hours of sleep… that's probably part of it too."

He gave a faint smile, half-truth, half-hidden.

"…I guess you could call it my power."

Ayumi smiled and giggled softly. "Heheh… I figured. I know you're still hiding something, but I don't really mind. Maybe one day, when you're ready, you can tell me, okay? For now… just keep your little secret~"

Zaboru chuckled and nodded, his eyes soft. "I guess I really can't fool you, huh…"

Ayumi leaned closer, resting comfortably against him. There was no pressure in her words, no doubt either, just quiet trust.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. The silence between them wasn't awkward, it was warm, the kind that only came from years of understanding each other without needing too many words.

Then Ayumi suddenly laughed, breaking the calm. "I know your face better than you do, Zaboru Renkonan… hehehe."

Zaboru shook his head slightly, smiling.

Ayumi then continued, her tone becoming more cheerful again. "By the way, Nii-san's Akaishidan game—well, our game—is almost ready. It's releasing next week! So make sure you prepare to play it, okay?"

Zaboru's eyes lit up immediately. "Haha… that can definitely be arranged."

Ayumi grinned, clearly pleased with his reaction, and Zaboru didn't waste the moment, leaning in and kissing her again, this time a little more playful than before.

Ayumi smiled softly. "Zabo… you kiss me quite often… I'm not complaining though," she teased, her voice light but warm.

Zaboru's gaze sharpened slightly, a playful intensity appearing in his eyes. "Hey, Ayumi…"

Ayumi blushed a little under his look, but she didn't pull away. "Yes, Zabo…?"

Zaboru grinned, leaning closer. "Can we… make our third child now?"

Ayumi's lips curved into a gentle smile, her eyes softening as she looked at him. "I guess… so?" she replied quietly, not rejecting him, but also letting the moment linger.

Zaboru didn't rush. Instead, he slowly moved closer, his lips brushing against her neck, his touch gentle and affectionate rather than hurried. Ayumi let out a small breath, her body naturally leaning into him, her hands lightly holding onto his shirt as the distance between them disappeared.

The quiet house, the warmth of the night, and the rare moment of being alone together made everything feel slower, more intimate.

Zaboru carefully lifted her into his arms, holding her securely as if she weighed nothing, and carried her toward the guest bedroom. He moved with quiet awareness, making sure not to make any noise, knowing their children were just in the next room.

It wasn't just desire, it was comfort, familiarity, and the kind of closeness built over time. As the door closed softly behind them, the rest of the house remained still, undisturbed by the quiet moment they chose to share.
