Takayuki smiled calmly at the camera after showing the first secret boss reward.
"All right, guys. The next boss is much harder," he said, his voice still casual despite the chat already panicking. "But honestly, this one is not exactly hidden in the same way as Zabo-Man. It's more like… classic ZAGE hidden."
He reached beside his desk and picked up the physical manual for Bruce Lee: The Thunder Dragon Fist. The manual was already slightly bent at the edges because Takayuki had clearly been reading it many times. He opened it to one page, adjusted it toward the camera, and pointed at a small sentence printed near the combat tips section.
Takayuki read it aloud.
"Something will happen if you fight like the real Bruce Lee."
Then he chuckled.
"See? Hidden, but not really hidden. Very ZAGE, right?"
The chat immediately started moving.
"I SAW THAT LINE!"
"I thought it was just flavor text."
"ZAGE always does this."
"Something will happen = suffer."
"Bro, what does 'fight like real Bruce Lee' even mean?"
Takayuki nodded as if he had expected that exact question.
"That's the important part. What does it mean to fight like Bruce Lee? Does it mean using only punches? Only kicks? Only counters? Only stylish combos?" He shook his head. "No. In this game, it means you cannot get hit carelessly."
The chat slowed down for a moment.
Takayuki smiled wider.
"Yes. That's right. To trigger the second secret boss, you need to reach the final boss without being hit."
The chat exploded.
"WHAT!?"
"THE WHOLE GAME!?"
"NO DAMAGE RUN!?"
"ZAGE IS INSANE."
"I can't even clear stage one without getting slapped by random monk."
"This is not secret boss. This is punishment."
Takayuki laughed softly. "Technically, it does not need to be your first playthrough. You can do it in New Game Plus, which makes it a little easier because you already have unlocked moves, upgraded stats, and better tools. But still, yes. From the beginning of the run until the final boss encounter, you cannot take damage."
He paused.
"And yes, that includes the boss fights before Tui Ren."
The chat became even more chaotic.
"Greg already kills me."
"Lucas burns my whole bloodline."
"Tui Ren itself is hard enough."
"No damage until final boss is criminal."
Takayuki only smiled with the calm confidence of someone who had already done something unreasonable several times.
"So, because this is New Game Plus, and so far in this run I haven't been hit, we only have around seven stages remaining. I still have time, so let's speedrun this. I'll show you guys."
Then Takayuki began moving.
And immediately, the chat witnessed insanity.
He did not play like a normal player trying to survive. He played like someone who already knew the entire game's breathing pattern. Bruce Lee dashed through stages with terrifying precision, destroying enemies before they could even become threats. Takayuki used Thunder Step to reposition, Dragon Coil Counter only when needed, short air combos to avoid ground pressure, and the upgraded Z-Caller so often that the screen kept flashing with silver-yellow bursts.
Enemies tried to surround him.
They failed.
Archers tried to shoot from high platforms.
Takayuki used Z-Caller to close distance, struck them once, and snapped back before melee enemies could punish him.
Heavy demons tried to block his path.
He baited their attacks, stepped around them, and punished their recovery with perfect timing.
He never looked rushed.
He never looked nervous.
Even during boss fights, where most players would panic, Takayuki stayed calm enough to explain small details to the stream while dodging attacks that would instantly ruin the run.
"Here, Greg always uses the spear dive after three wing blades," Takayuki said casually while dodging the attack by a hair. "If you stay too far, he delays it. So you need to stay at this distance to force the fast version."
The chat could not handle it.
"HE'S TEACHING WHILE DOING NO DAMAGE."
"Bro, I'm stressed and I'm not even playing."
"This isn't gameplay. This is surgery."
"Takayuki makes this look easy and that makes me angry."
Against Lucas, the Twin-Headed Demon, Takayuki baited both heads into arguing mid-pattern, then slipped behind the monster during its fire-poison transition and punished it with a full combo.
"Lucas looks random, but he's not fully random," Takayuki explained. "The left head is aggressive. The right head is tricky. If you watch which head talks before the attack, you know which pattern is coming."
The chat went silent for a second, then exploded again.
"THE HEADS ARE TELLS!?"
"I thought they were just being funny."
"ZAGE, why are you like this?"
"This game is deeper than my life."
Stage after stage fell.
Boss after boss failed.
Takayuki's health bar remained untouched.
By the time Bruce finally reached the final celestial chamber where Tui Ren waited, the chat was already treating the stream like a historical event.
Tui Ren stood in the center of the arena, surrounded by floating talismans and the Seven Swords of Celestial. His calm expression appeared on screen as the dialogue began, exactly like the normal final boss route.
"What would you do with the Thunder Dragon Mark?"
Normally, the game gave two choices.
"I will become the new Thunder Dragon Warrior."
"I will release the Thunder Dragon Fist."
But this time, because Takayuki had reached this point without taking damage, a third option appeared.
The words glowed faintly with yellow lightning.
"On celestial heaven and earth, nobody is my equal."
For half a second, even Takayuki let the chat react before pressing anything.
The chat exploded so violently it became almost unreadable.
"WHAT!?"
"THAT IS SO BADASS!"
"SECRET OPTION!"
"BRO THINKS HE'S THE FINAL BOSS."
"No, that line is actually Bruce Lee energy."
"ZAGE COOKED."
Takayuki chuckled and nodded. "Yeah. Choose this, guys."
He selected the third option.
The screen darkened.
The current Bruce Lee lifted his head, his eyes glowing faintly with the Thunder Dragon Mark's power. His voice was calm, but it carried terrifying confidence.
"Foolish."
The Thunder Dragon aura roared behind him, filling the entire celestial chamber with yellow lightning.
"On celestial heaven and earth, nobody is my equal."
Tui Ren's face immediately changed.
For the first time in the game, the grand heavenly king Taoist looked afraid.
"Y… you…"
His voice trembled.
"Impossible…! It should be impossible!"
Then something inside Tui Ren's robe cracked.
A hidden necklace shattered into pieces, the beads scattering across the stone floor. The moment the necklace broke, a seal that had been wrapped around the arena disappeared. The air exploded with thunder.
Then came a flash.
It was so fast that it almost looked like the screen skipped.
Lightning cut across the chamber.
The camera snapped into a sudden close-up of Tui Ren's face. His eyes widened in horror.
A fist wrapped in a coiling thunder dragon appeared in front of him.
Then it struck.
The punch landed directly against Tui Ren's face with a thunderous impact, sending him flying across the arena like a broken doll. His celestial swords scattered, talismans burned away, and the entire chamber shook violently.
The camera slowly turned.
Standing where the lightning had struck was another Bruce Lee.
But not the current Bruce.
This one wore the ancient yellow-and-silver armor from the opening stage. His body carried a heavier aura, his eyes were sharper, and the Thunder Dragon around him looked far more complete, coiling across his shoulders like a living god of lightning.
The boss title appeared.
SECRET BOSS: THE ANCIENT THUNDER DRAGON FIST WARRIOR
The chat went completely insane.
"WHAT!?"
"WE FIGHT PEAK BRUCE LEE!?"
"OH MY GOD!"
"IT'S US VS US!"
"This is the real final boss!"
"Tui Ren got deleted from his own boss fight."
Takayuki smiled. "Yeah, guys. It's us versus us."
The boss fight began.
Immediately, the difference was obvious.
The Ancient Thunder Dragon Fist Warrior fought similarly to the player character, but everything about him was more refined. His punches were sharper. His kicks were faster. His counters were cleaner. His movement had almost no wasted motion. It felt like fighting the ideal version of Bruce Lee after mastering every system in the game.
At first, Takayuki tested him with a quick Thunder Kick.
The Ancient Bruce did not dodge.
He stepped slightly to the side and countered with a short punch to the ribs.
Takayuki immediately blocked the follow-up and moved away.
"See?" Takayuki said calmly. "Against him, you can't spam one move. If you repeat the same attack too many times, he counters it with a unique animation."
The chat groaned.
"I spam Coiling Dragon all game…"
"Thunder Kick carried me until now."
"So the boss counters bad habits?"
"ZAGE really made Bruce Lee punish button mashers."
Takayuki nodded. "Exactly. This fight checks whether you understand the whole combat system."
The battle became intense quickly.
Ancient Bruce used many of the same moves as the player, but his versions were stronger and more dangerous. His Hurricane Punch could not be interrupted once started. His Lightning Strike Kick crossed the arena instantly. His Dragon Coil Counter punished reckless attacks brutally. His Thunder Step left afterimages that could confuse the player's timing.
But the hardest part was that not every attack could be handled the same way.
Some attacks could not be parried and had to be dodged.
Some attacks could not be dodged safely and had to be parried.
Some attacks looked punishable but were actually bait.
Some attacks changed depending on how the player moved.
The fight was less about raw reaction and more about understanding.
Takayuki moved carefully, never relying too much on one technique. He used short combos, backed away before greed became dangerous, mixed Z-Caller with normal movement, parried only when he recognized the correct attack, and dodged whenever the Ancient Bruce's aura turned a deeper yellow.
The chat watched in awe.
"This is so hard."
"He's reading him like a book."
"I would already be dead."
"This boss is basically the game saying, 'Did you actually learn?'"
Takayuki laughed softly while still playing. "Don't be discouraged, guys. When I first fought him, I struggled too. I even died once."
The chat immediately rebelled.
"DON'T BE DISCOURAGED MY ASS."
"You died once. I will die 80 times."
"I think I'm not gonna beat him."
"Hey, what's the point beating Ancient Bruce Lee? Defeating Tui Ren is enough, right? Right?"
"This boss is optional for my mental health."
Takayuki chuckled. "That's fair."
The fight continued.
Ancient Bruce entered his second phase after losing half his health. His Thunder Dragon aura expanded, and a massive dragon silhouette appeared behind him. Now his attacks carried lingering lightning trails, forcing Takayuki to avoid standing in certain areas for too long. The arena became filled with flashes, afterimages, and thunder impacts.
Then came the most dangerous sequence.
Ancient Bruce stepped back, lowered his stance, and raised one hand.
Takayuki immediately became quiet.
The chat noticed.
Ancient Bruce vanished.
A second later, he appeared in front of the player.
Takayuki parried.
Bruce appeared behind him.
Takayuki dodged.
Bruce appeared above him.
Takayuki used Thunder Step.
Bruce landed, spun, and unleashed a dragon-shaped shockwave across the arena.
Takayuki jumped over it, landed behind him, and punished with a short combo.
The chat lost its mind.
"WHAT WAS THAT!?"
"HE SURVIVED THE ANIME SEQUENCE."
"My eyes can't follow this."
"Takayuki is not human."
"No, Ancient Bruce is not human."
"Both."
Takayuki exhaled softly. "That move is called Heaven-Earth Dragon Flash. If you panic, you die. You need to parry the first hit, dodge the second, reposition for the third, then jump the shockwave."
The chat immediately responded.
"You said that like it's normal."
"I'll just watch you do it."
"Tutorial unclear, controller destroyed."
Finally, after several minutes of terrifying exchanges, Ancient Bruce's health dropped into the final sliver.
Takayuki waited.
He did not rush.
Ancient Bruce moved forward with one last Lightning Strike Kick.
Takayuki dodged at the perfect moment, used Z-Caller to reposition behind him, then finished the battle with a Dragon Coil Counter.
The screen shook.
The music stopped.
Ancient Bruce staggered backward, lightning cracking around his body. For a moment, he looked as though he might continue fighting.
Then he smiled.
"You… are strong."
He lowered his stance and bowed.
"And worthy."
The current Bruce stood silently in front of him.
Ancient Bruce's body began to glow with golden thunder. The Thunder Dragon behind him roared one last time, then dissolved into pure lightning. That lightning flowed into the current Bruce's Dragon Mark, causing the mark to expand across his arm, then his shoulder, then his chest.
The screen became brighter.
Bruce clenched his fist as the Thunder Dragon Mark transformed into a full-body tattoo-like pattern, glowing beneath his skin like living lightning. The dragon design wrapped around his arms, back, chest, and neck, not like decoration, but like a power finally awakened.
Then Bruce opened his eyes.
His pupils had changed.
Dragon pupils.
The aura around him became calmer, sharper, and far more refined than before.
The game did not continue into another fight.
Instead, the ending began immediately.
The celestial chamber collapsed behind him. Tui Ren, defeated and forgotten, watched in terror as Bruce walked past him, no longer a vessel, no longer a successor, and no longer merely someone carrying the mark.
He had become the true Thunder Dragon Fist.
The screen faded to white.
Then the final message appeared.
TRUE ENDING: THE THUNDER DRAGON AWAKENS
For several seconds, Takayuki's chat was nothing but chaos.
"PEAK!"
"THAT WAS ONE OF THE COOLEST BOSS FIGHTS EVER!"
"TRUE ENDING!?"
"I NEED TO TRY THIS."
"No damage run first, bro."
"Never mind, I'll watch Takayuki again."
Takayuki leaned back slightly, smiling in satisfaction.
"Yeah," he said. "This is why I love ZAGE secret bosses."
The chat continued going wild.
And for many players, Bruce Lee: The Thunder Dragon Fist had just become even cooler than before.
To be continued.
