Liam woke up slowly, his body heavy with that deep, satisfied kind of tiredness. The room was dim, only the soft glow of the bedside lamp lighting up the space. He could feel the warmth of two bodies pressed against him under the thick blanket. Lana on one side, Ann curled up peacefully on the other.
He opened his eyes lazily, blinking a few times to adjust.
Lana was already awake. She was lying on his chest, her chin resting just above his heart, staring at him with those gorgeous green eyes. She had clearly been watching him sleep for a while, a soft, content smile playing on her lips.
Liam's hand moved instinctively, sliding into her long dark brown hair and caressing it gently. The strands felt silky between his fingers.
"What time is it?" he asked, his voice still rough from sleep.
Lana's smile widened slightly. "It's almost 9pm already."
