Liam looked at Irina as she finally sat down. She lay on her back on the wide branch and stared up at the sky. Soft clouds drifted slowly overhead. For a short moment the forest felt quiet and peaceful.
That peace did not last.
Her view darkened as Liam moved over her. He lowered himself until his chest hovered above hers and his face blocked the sky. Irina opened her mouth to speak, but before a single word left her lips he leaned down and kissed her.
The kiss was deep from the very first second.
Her eyes widened. She had not expected him to be this direct. His lips pressed firmly against hers, warm and sure. The faint taste of him filled her mouth as he tilted his head and deepened the kiss even more. Their tongues met slowly at first, then with growing hunger. Soft wet sounds rose between them while the cool forest air brushed across their skin.
