"Why is he taking so long?" Harry asked.
His eyes shifted toward the door again.
The door remained closed.
A few seconds passed.
Harry's fingers tapped lightly against his thigh before he finally glanced back at it, his brows drawing together.
"Who are you waiting for?" Azazel asked.
Harry turned toward him.
"Oh… wait. Your assistant."
Azazel suddenly seemed to remember something. He glanced toward the door, then back at Harry who nodded.
"Let me go get him. If this cold thing came with his men, I'm pretty sure he's probably blocked out somewhere."
A faint grin tugged at his lips.
Then his eyes shifted toward Roman.
The smile slowly disappeared.
Roman was still seated beside the bed, Julie's head resting on his lap. One hand remained gently against her hair, but the rest of him was unnaturally still.
Azazel's gaze lingered on him for a moment.
Then, without saying anything else, he turned and walked out of the room.
The door closed behind him.
