Odin was right.
This had already become a contest of patience between Noah and Dormammu.
Dormammu no longer had a clear concept of time.
As an existence at least at level ten, eternity itself was part of his nature.
Noah, on the other hand, was doing this deliberately.
Training himself.
Even if he regretted it a little now.
But as the saying went-
you dig the pit yourself, you bury it yourself.
That was Noah's situation.
Even after being beaten to the point of near senselessness, he had no intention of stopping.
Just like Stephen Strange in the original story, Noah used the Time Stone to construct an infinite time loop, locking Dormammu inside it.
The difference was simple.
No negotiations.
No repeated talks.
Noah wasn't here to bargain.
He was here to confront Dormammu head-on.
With absolute defiance.
With the system's assistance, Noah suppressed the Space Stone's instability and even had the system siphon part of its power into the Time Stone.
Two Infinity Stones.
That was the foundation of this loop.
It drastically reduced Noah's consumption.
Even so-
Dormammu was still Dormammu.
Killing Noah wasn't as trivial as crushing an ant.
Not anymore.
They clashed.
Struggled.
Then Dormammu crushed him outright with overwhelming force.
Again.
And again.
Dormammu wasn't stupid.
He could clearly feel the world repeating endlessly.
In fact, anyone within the Time Stone's influence was trapped in the same loop.
The difference was that those without sufficient power couldn't perceive it.
They were simply frozen.
Dormammu understood what was happening.
And he was furious.
Completely enraged.
What followed was his personal specialty-
creative Noah torture.
And Noah, facing a berserk Dormammu, tried every possible method he could think of to resist.
The results were... poor.
At best, he lasted ten minutes.
Then he died.
But Noah didn't feel disgust.
He didn't give up.
Each time he was resurrected, he went straight back to Dormammu.
One-on-one.
"This guy is absurdly strong," Noah thought after being killed yet again.
"Is this really the baseline of a level-ten existence?"
He didn't know how many times he had crawled back from the reversed river of time.
Looking at Dormammu's bloodshot eyes, Noah felt a headache forming.
Being killed repeatedly wasn't pleasant.
And unlike Stephen Strange's experience-
Dormammu wasn't playing psychological games.
Stephen survived longer at first because Dormammu let him.
Hope.
Then despair.
But Noah?
This Dormammu was insane.
Completely berserk.
Going easy?
That concept didn't exist.
You showed up.
You died.
Conversation?
Also nonexistent.
Noah had died countless times.
Dormammu hadn't said a single word.
Time flowed.
Deaths accumulated.
Noah even briefly wondered if he should start exploring the river of time itself.
But one thing was undeniable.
His strength was improving.
Visibly.
Dormammu was an excellent sparring partner.
With the Time Stone, Noah essentially had infinite retries.
More importantly-
Dormammu didn't care about time.
Which meant that the stalemate inside the loop wasn't measured in days or months.
It was measured in years.
Decades.
Centuries.
Possibly longer.
This was not something an ordinary mind could endure.
Stephen Strange's will had been forged through a similar experience.
That was why he could inherit the title of Sorcerer Supreme.
Noah was no exception.
His magical power hadn't increased much-
there was no proper meditation here.
But his will?
Sharper.
Harder.
His understanding of power became clearer with every death.
Then, after an unknown span of time-
Dormammu suddenly roared.
A furious, maddened sound.
The ground beneath Noah distorted, rippling like black water.
From it burst massive black tentacles, coiling toward him like giant pythons.
Noah reacted instantly.
The Star of Space-Time in his hand reshaped itself into a wand.
He had considered forging something more imposing-
a scythe like Aegwynn's, or a staff worthy of a sun god.
But realistically?
He wouldn't adapt quickly to a two-handed weapon.
So he chose the simplest option.
A wand.
The same kind he once used at Hogwarts.
It didn't match his aesthetic.
But it was convenient.
That was enough.
The wand tapped the ground lightly.
His domain responded.
A ring of flames expanded outward from his body.
Ring of Fire.
A standard elemental spell for breaking encirclement.
The black tentacles were blasted back instantly, melting away under the flames.
Noah didn't pause.
He waved the wand again.
A colossal pillar of fire condensed in midair and slammed down toward Dormammu.
The failure of dark entanglement didn't surprise Dormammu.
They had fought for far too long.
If Noah hadn't grown, Dormammu would've gone mad already.
With a roar, Dormammu raised a massive shield of darkness around himself.
He had personally witnessed Noah's growth.
This human's grasp of power was becoming dangerous-even to him.
The pillar of fire crashed into the shield.
The sky trembled.
Debris erupted in every direction.
Noah's lips twitched.
If he had light divine power, this wouldn't be so uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, he didn't.
He exhaled slowly and calmed himself.
They had fought for too long for mistakes like that.
Just because he lacked light magic-
did that mean he had no options?
He couldn't defeat Dormammu.
But annoying him?
That was still possible.
The wand flicked.
Magic surged violently within Noah's domain.
The light-blue energy became restless.
Snowflakes condensed in midair, shimmering faintly as they fell.
In an instant, the entire domain transformed into a frozen world.
"Hmph. Useless."
Dormammu snorted.
This spell could annihilate a small living planet.
To him, it should've been nothing more than an inconvenience.
Then his expression changed.
His movements slowed.
And worse-
His shield began to freeze.
Dormammu's face darkened.
Because he sensed a fluctuation behind him.
Space.
How much power did this sorcerer actually possess?
An independent universe.
Four elements.
Time.
Space.
And-
Dormammu's own power.
Monster.
That was the only word Dormammu had for Noah.
This sorcerer hadn't even reached the peak of his lifespan.
Dormammu could sense it clearly.
He wasn't even fifty years old.
Yet his soul-
Ancient.
The loop always reset to the same origin point.
No matter how long they fought, the Time Stone dragged them back.
The body remained young.
The soul aged endlessly.
Ice shards tore through folded space and appeared behind Dormammu, completely undefended.
Dormammu didn't bother to react.
His body existed across multiple dimensions.
Physical defense was meaningless to him.
The ice shattered.
No damage.
As Dormammu was about to scoff-
His expression twisted violently.
This was only the third time it had happened.
The first was when he discovered Noah's independent universe.
Greed followed immediately.
The second was realizing he was trapped in an infinite loop.
And the third-
Now.
Hidden within the folded space of that ice shard-
Was another spell.
Six powers.
Merged into one.
A longsword, radiating faint golden light.
